Video Settings/Cam advice "WARNING" Pedestrian Crash video

You can improve that image straight away be rotating the camera 90 degrees and make it taller than wider if that makes sense. The reflection from the wall is ruining any night-vision.

Video Settings/Cam advice "WARNING" Pedestrian Crash video

Anything but amcrest. To get number plates at night you need dedicated cameras just for that. So if you want number plates and activity both sides of the street you are going to need 4 cameras.

    Dahua NVR5216-4KS2 H.265?

H.265 is not mature enough guys. It took ages for H.264 to become compatible across the range back in the day. Those who remember xvid know what I'm talking about!

HELP - Can't conect TPLINK extender to NVR Hikvision DS-7104NI-SL/W

Is the lag in real-time view or recordings? If it's real-time view then no big deal. If it's recordings then lower the bit-rate to fix this.

Monoprice TVI IR PTZ looks suspiciously like a Hikvision...

Looking like and actually being the same are two completely different things when it comes to all Chinese cameras. I would recommend asking them if it's Hikvision OEM to be sure.

brightness problem on 507-20xb sumba dome cam, mr bad luck!!!

You have 2 Sunba cameras that have worked for a few months. With that kind of extensive testing we should all stop recommending brands that have worked for years and recommend Sunba immediately. The amount of problems with Sunba PTZ cameras on here is crazy. Factor in how many issues with Dahua...

    HDW4431C-A : Doorway Camera?

You can't beat that. 2.8mm 4MP in a corner is too wide. 2.8mm above a door will be ok but really need another camera covering that area from somewhere else. You simply can't beat multiple coverage. Post screenshots etc and we will help.

    IPC-HDW2320R-ZS 2.7-12mm Motorized Turret

If you are using a Dahua NVR then stick with Dahua or ONVIF and not Hikvision.

What dash cam are you using?

It's not small like the Mini 0806 but it is cheaper than blackvue. Best night and day quality of any dash camera I've had hands-down. http://www.szdome.com/product-detail-229.html

    IPC-HDW2320R-ZS 2.7-12mm Motorized Turret

The price can be lots of different reasons, it's not like we are buying any of this stuff at RRP. The VF bullet is more popular with installers. No Hikvision don't at the reasonable price level. What are you planning on using to record this? Blue Iris?

    H.265 Hikvision Cameras

It's well documented here, use the search button. Domes won't hide direction that well, especially at night, if you have 10 cameras with blind spots at certain areas then that's an issue. DS-2CD2142FWD-I is the dome. There are pro and cons for both turret, dome and bullet.

    H.265 Hikvision Cameras

It's not as good but if the picture remains the same it is decent, and you aren't panning the camera like a movie would be. Get cameras and NVR from the same place. Genuinue DS-2CD2342WD-I should be £130ish including VAT so don't pay £180 people are asking. I personally would get 7716NI-E4/16P...

brightness problem on 507-20xb sumba dome cam, mr bad luck!!!

+1, talk about not learning your lesson the first time. Invest in a decent, proven and reliable one from Dahua or buy local with a warranty. It's not the much more!

    Advice, Please!

TrendNet IP310PI is $200, massively over-priced. Get a proper Hikvision DS-2CD2032-I for less than that. Wifi security is misunderstood. You can't run it on your normal network, you need a dedicated Wifi LAN just for your cameras. Otherwsie as nayr says it will eat all the bandwidth. I actually...

    H.265 Hikvision Cameras

Well you'll get about a month 24/7 with H264+ and 4MP it's tried, tested and proven solution. Otherwise you shouldn't be getting Hikvision if you insist on H265. Horse -> Water.

    IPC-HDW2320R-ZS 2.7-12mm Motorized Turret

There are so many different Dahua numbers it's going to hard to find someone with the exact one. I can't imagine the difference between bullet and turret is going to be huge on this model.

    H.265 Hikvision Cameras

How much recording time do you need? 12TB with H264+ you'll be getting a minimum of 18 days footage. If there isn't much movement most day and night you'll get a month. More info needed. But I'd rather get 7716E4 with 4x6TB then mess around with these grey-imports. Reliability is no1 for big...

    HDW4431C-A : Doorway Camera?

I hate to quote myself from higher up in this thread but for this install 3.6mm (4mm not made by Dahua Kawboy12R) is what is needed for both installs. It's perfect for corners. 2.8mm 4MP is a massive mistake in the corner, especially with a turret style camera.

    HDW4431C-A : Doorway Camera?

Rotate the ball camera bit 90 degrees and then adjust in your web-gui to rotate. You will get 10x the picture by eliminating that massive white reflection on the left. Trust me and give it a whirl then re-post.

    H.265 Hikvision Cameras

Whether chinese grey imported H265 cameras will work with English/Multi-language H265 NVR in H265 I'm not sure. Will work H264 but as these have been hacked I don't know. I have one but not tested it yet. These links you are importing them and also the buyers have low feedback 98.7% for a...

    Just Ordered A Longse LBW90S500

90m is the length of a football pitch. Hahaha. Why do they write this crap and why do people remotely believe it? How can a 3.6mm lens see 90m anyway. 65ft x 60/70 ft, one camera? Only if you just want to see what's going on and not identify any unknowns.

    Night settings for EXIR DS-2CD2342WD-I

Increase max bit rate to 8192 and change Constant to Variable, especially with i-frame at 20. What is WDR set to? Try 30 It looks like the area is pitch black when the light isn't on? If so, then it's never going to be amazing without extra IR. I would be very tempted to get a 6mm lens camera...

5 out of 6 cams showing with issues

Screenshots via desktop. Step 1) Stop touching the cameras, do everything from the NVR now Step 2) What browser? Internet Explorer or Firefox work, Chrome or Edge do not Step 3) 4th camera test with smaller cable you know works

True WDR vs DWDR with the DS-2CD2342WD-I makes a big difference!

I meant the sticker on the actual camera. The box means nothing. Anyway, it's still going to be harder to get a better image than this is you want the camera within the porch area (if that's what you guys call it?)
