    Blue Iris UI3

Just tested this with Microsoft Edge and it's working great: I'm running BI with Stunnel using a ZeroSSL certificate.

Same as @ARAMP1 Everything seems to be working with 5.5.1.7 for me, UI3, console, and Android app all show alerts correctly.

all of a sudden BI is using too much cpu and it says too much power

I had a similar issue recently where the CPU was thermally throttling, causing BI to totally bog down, which also caused camera and network dropouts. It took a while to diagnose it, I found it by using HWInfo to check CPU and motherboard health. It showed temps were getting high enough to...

Dedicated graphics card for Deepstack or not?

The funny thing is that the settings I have are outdated, they reflect a simpler config when I was running on CPU and neglected to change them after shifting to GPU, so the extra images aren't required any more. I did try unchecking the use main stream, and yes, it did analyse all the images...

New DeepStack September Update Version 2021.09.1

I updated the GPU version by just running the installer, didn't uninstall or change anything (although I took a full system image backup beforehand). I ran a couple of missed detections through the live analyzer and it seemed to work better in that it detected what it should have. It'll take...

Dedicated graphics card for Deepstack or not?

I have "use main stream if available" turned on and it's working fine for me. Cameras are configured with matching I frame for main and sub, however I have sub set to lower bit rate than main The longish DS processing time is due to DS running with high setting and custom dark model as well as...

Dedicated graphics card for Deepstack or not?

@sebastiantombs nailed it. Shuffling files between drives is a drag on system resource and can bog down BI (been there). I'm also writing to two Skyhawk drives (Seagate's version of WD purples) and there's no problem with BI/DS doing its thing. I am not moving files between drives at all...

Deepstack rejection person type on white listed faces?

@wittaj summed it up perfectly. I just had a quick look at the faces that were captured, some are wildly inaccurate. The back of my head, a swirl of steam, and the weirdest one, a shot of the top half of a rolling recycling bin show that it's far from reliable, at least for home use, where the...

Couple of Seagate Skyhawks configured as simple volumes and an NVME boot volume. Don't know anything unraid, so can't help you there.

I found that the integrated GPU wasn't quite powerful enough to handle Deepstack and HA at the same time. I added a Quadro P400 and Deepstack runs great set on High. I'm still using the Intel GPU for HA.

Send Pushover notifications with pictures and hyperlinks

Nice! I had to use a batch file and powershell script to make it work. This is much cleaner, I'll have to give it a try.

DeepStack Case Study: Performance from CPU to GPU version

I'm running the exact same video card and have similar results. It's reasonably priced and much low power consumption compared to mainstream Gaming cards.

    5.9.11+ and Dahua 4MP cams

Interesting. I've been trying to track down why my CPU utilization was running higher lately. I have snapshots (5 seconds interval) that I use as a desktop background slideshow. I disabled them and my CPU utilization now idles around 16% (UI3 console open) with a 10% jump when DS (GPU) kicks...

    5.4.7 - May 25, 2021 - Support for DeepStack custom model files

I'm running the P400 with 4 x 4MP, 3 x 8MP, 3 x 2MP. All of them enabled for DS, There was someone who figured out that the P400 can handle quite a few DS streams simultaneously. The other nice thing about the P400 is that it's rated for 30W max, much lower than a gaming GPU, if power...

    5.4.7 - May 25, 2021 - Support for DeepStack custom model files

That's the one I'm using. Shop around, a local computer store had the best price, much cheaper than Amazon. Just make sure that it's the V2 model.

    5.4.7 - May 25, 2021 - Support for DeepStack custom model files

I found that adding a Quadro P400 allowed DS to run on high without a problem, which improved detection accuracy.

To deepstack, or not to deepstack, that is the question??

DS is far from perfect, I have a covered BBQ on my deck that DS keeps insisting is a person. I masked out part of it in the detection zone and DS now ignores it. The static object detection for some reason doesn't filter it out, maybe because the cover moves a bit due to wind. Sometimes the...

    5.4.7 - May 25, 2021 - Support for DeepStack custom model files

If you don't already have a GPU, you may want to consider a Quadro P400, cheaper and far less power hungry. Others people mentioned using it with DS, so I bought one and it helps a lot.

To deepstack, or not to deepstack, that is the question??

No need to run powershell, BI will take care of starting AI, default setting on the BI AI configuration tab. Then you need to configure the Trigger setting on each camera to use DS analysis. I would suggest keeping it simple since you're just getting started. Get it working first and then try...

To deepstack, or not to deepstack, that is the question??

You must have installed it at some point, it's not part of the BI installation, but since it's there, just turn it on and do some tinkering! There are a ton of threads referencing DS settings, best thing is to use search to find them. BI also has a Youtube video for DS:

To deepstack, or not to deepstack, that is the question??

It depends on what you're trying to do. For me it, it was definitely worth the effort. It has totally cut down on false alerts, and it's free! I was using Sentry AI, which was pretty good, but it's a subscription service and was prone to false alerts because it wasn't tuneable. There a lot...

Sometimes you just have to start over from scratch

In my case, I use clones for 24x7 main stream recording as MP4. The masters are configured for capturing motion events (as BVR) with DS analysis. I also configured the clones as hidden to reduce the console view clutter. A note related my original post of moving BI to a new system, I've seen...

Sometimes you just have to start over from scratch

That's an interesting observation. I'm currently running a stress test, which doesn't include the GPU, on the suspect system. The interesting thing is that the CPU is no longer hitting 90C and bottlenecking, it maxxed out at 83C. Now I'm wondering if it is a GPU related issue with the...

Sometimes you just have to start over from scratch

I'm a long time BI user ((going back to V3), so I'm very familiar with BI and optimizations. The computer is dedicated to BI, nothing else running on it. Cameras are optimized at 15fps and configured where possible with keyframe ratio of 1, with the exception of a couple that have to run at 30...

Why is RAM usage soo small?

I just rebuilt my BI system due to a hardware failure and noticed something interesting about RAM usage when I was playing musical parts between systems. On a system with 64GB of RAM, BI used around 3.5GB. Same system reduced to 16GB of RAM, BI dropped to 1.5GB.

Sometimes you just have to start over from scratch

tldr; Weird problems due to odd H/W failure lead to a rebuild on a new PC I thought I'd share my tale of what I found when my BI system started to behave strangely. My system is a i7-7700K with 16GB RAM, SSD system drive, and two surveillance disks (4TB WD and 8TB Skyhawk). This system has...

Deepstack - Soo many motion detections are being marked as "nothing found".. othertimes it works?

I'm still trying to figure out why my CPU jumps so much during triggered events, definitely something my system config. I may just do a clean rebuild of the entire system due to upgrade baggage (Windows and BI). BI also had some major crashes during some previous versions, so there may be some...
