The log shows initialized, test tftpserver, success, and then stops on transmitting (if I recall correctly) but in any case unlike the 5.30>5.25 dav there is no "system update completed!" it stops prior to that and all attempts are via the recommended networking instructions in your other posts... -

The issues are 1) a reboot defaults all settings (including network settings) to default. In other words no connectivity if it reboots which happen for various reasons. 2) setting video format from PAL to NTSC requires a reboot to take effect which puts me a loop. That's the issues with just... -

WDR is a scene specific setting and in reading the buellwinkle review of this particular camera i noticed that he had the same scene problems I did, windows with light coming in, shadows and lots of color. I tried various settings and this seemed to work but I'll try your recommendation and... -

I have WDR on and at at 20 DNR on and at 100 All Image Adjustment settings at 50 I think I got that from an older NetworkCameraCritic post. Works well but not perfect. Good enough. -

Could be. I gave up on PIR not because it wouldn't record but because I couldn't get it to integrate with my ddns push notifications. Definitely I would turn up sensitivity/threshold settings until it worked then back down from there. -

Isn't there a Hik sticker on the side of red/white box? Lower right side of that sticker on mine has default IP address and username/password. -

NTP issues with 2 cams DS-2CD2132F-IS and DS-2CD2632F-IS.
NVR has my correct time zone and DST, cam has wrong time zone and DST enable/disable is being controlled by NVR. Cams are only correct during "standard" time. It's a bug and I can't find a workaround. I'm guessing the bug is the cam can't interpret the time zone command from the NVR correctly... -

I have/had the same issue on my 2 Hikvision DS-2CD2432F-IW. One is like yours Chinese made English same firmware the other is U.S. latest US/Europe FW 5.3.x. Now that DST is over in my region (California) time is correct. What's happening in my case is NVR is syncing the time and time settings... -

I was suggesting the single port injector (not switch as I said above) if it's just going to be a single camera, my mistake. Very inexpensive. -

You also need power for the camera. If you only have one camera you can find an inexpensive single PoE switch that you will plug into the wall socket. One cable goes from Poe to camera and one goes from 2nd port of Poe to your network. I'm not familiar with your camera but that's what is... -

I have mine about 8" above and to the right of the door. Mine is a 2.8 with a 95 degree FOV. I have full facial as they walk up and as they stand at the door (most people back up a couple of feet) I have the top and front of their head. I would think eye level is too obtrusive and hard to mount...
