Mine was as clean as I have ever seen a Windows install be (although I haven't used Windows in years - Ubuntu for me). Either works, was an easy process.
Hello,
I am looking for a backyard overview camera that could cover most of a 50ft deep, 80 ft wide backyard. The camera would be mounted about 15ft high on the house, in about the middle, width wise. I understand the limitations related to identification of people, but I am just looking for a...
I wouldn't worry about having Windows 10 installed. Dell will let you download and install Windows 10 on their computers (as long as they were shipped with it - and I think all 3040s did... someone can correct me if I am wrong). I downloaded Windows 10 from the Dell website, put in a new hard...
I thought I remember reading that there are non-varifocal versions of this camera? Is that true? What are the model numbers? Thanks.
Edit: found it Dahua Starlight Fixed Lens Turret (IPC-HDW4231EM-AS)
No I am running the full version. Yes I am using Teamviewer, Windows reports that is using about 30% CPU. BI is using 40+% according to task manager. The CPU reported in Blue Iris is full system load, correct? BI at 40+% with only a few cameras seems high, correct?
Intel HD hardware...
Hello,
Blue Iris is using 75%+ CPU with 4 cameras. 2 cameras are 720p Foscams (I know). 1 4mp Hik and 1 2mp Dahua. I am running Blue Iris on a Dell OptiPlex 3040 i5-6500 8GB ram. H.264 HW decode is set to Yes (no VPP) on all cameras. Direct to disk is enabled.
What is a good way to begin to...
I just searched for dell optiplex 3040 i5 and kept searching. Not seeing much now, but a good deal right now is around $350 ... thats what I paid 1 month ago. Perhaps this is a good deal, but they are charging a lot for shipping (mine was free, $25 seems reasonable). Don't worry if it doesn't...
I am not sure about HP, but with Dell you will be fine. I bought one, had some issues and Dell sent out people to fix it. The first time they installed a new motherboard. The second time another new motherboard and a power supply. No questions asked. Basically got most of a new computer at no...
Good deal if the bidding stays low? Though I am not familiar with Windows 10 Eval Edition... Dell Optiplex 7040 i5-6500 3.2ghz 8GB 120GB Keyboard & Mouse | eBay
Great, thanks. Do you find that the i5-6500 runs pretty well with your setup? How much ram do you use? I see you have 8gb and most I see for sale have 4gb. I suppose I could test it before upgrading.
I understand that; however, I do not see any 5040s anywhere near the same price, they are $100+ more on eBay. As long as its possible (thats what I am hearing) I am happy, this is just getting stored in the basement anyway.
Is this a pretty good deal? Would take out the graphics card Dell OptiPlex 3040 SFF i5-6500 6th Gen 8GB 500GB W10PRO DVD RW ** WARRANTY** | eBay
Otherwise Dell OptiPlex 3040 SFF i5-6500 6th Gen 4GB 500GB W10PRO DVD RW **3YEAR WARRTY** | eBay
Thanks
Thanks for the reply. I didn't mean using an old phone as a camera, I meant using an old phone to record. I just saw this: Background Mode (DVR mode) in tinyCam Monitor and was wondering if anyone has used this to record from multiple cameras. I understand there are limits and was just wondering...
Hello,
Need a little help with cables. I need several 50-75 foot runs that will all be in the same general area. I am not too thrilled about putting plugs on my solid cat6 (have about 500ft available) so I was thinking of running solid cat 6 from the POE switch to a patch panel near the cameras...
