    BlueIris on your TV!

In the video you mentioned you don't have to login because you configured it by exempting the device tied to an ip address... how did you do this? Thanks

    Dahua Starlight Varifocal Turret (IPC-HDW5231R-Z)

Dahua's product page says that I can flip the camera 90 degrees (for corridor mode), but I only have 0 and 180 degrees in the options. Any ideas?

    Dahua Starlight Varifocal Turret (IPC-HDW5231R-Z)

FYI, anyone searching about cameras for cold weather: I am running several Dahua Starlight Varifocal Turrets (and a Hik 4mp) and all are doing well below zero degrees Fahrenheit. We got down to -7 F last night and its been below zero for over 24 hours. No issues so far.

Hikvision camera resets ITSELF to factory default twice!

Did you double check your router and disable port forwarding in there? The camera set it up automatically in my router

Hikvision camera resets ITSELF to factory default twice!

Would upgrading the firmware take care of any infected firmware? So all of the precautions I took of VPNing into my network to view cameras were basically voided by UPnP being on in the camera? I have also now setup my router to block all (WAN) services for all my cameras (I use an IP range). I...

Hikvision camera resets ITSELF to factory default twice!

Thanks for the response, it was a DS-2CD2042WD-I running V5.4.1 build 160525. I am working on upgrading it right now. I disabled UPnP on my router. Running ShieldsUp on my Blue Iris server shows everything as stealth. On my Ubuntu laptop I am seeing 20, 21, 22 as closed, not stealth. The only...

Hikvision camera resets ITSELF to factory default twice!

So let me get this straight. My Hik camera reset itself twice in the past week. Apparently it set up its own port forwarding via UPNP (I confirmed it was turned on in the camera and I looked on my router and it had ports forwarded to the camera... WTF). So UPNP was turned on by default, it...

Yea, I have a 3tb drive which is actually 2.72tb or 2720gb. I set the limit for store and new to 2500 and I am still seeing the error...

    !! S: ??

Ok, thanks. I would assume its saying I am 206 gigs over? This is odd because I set the limit to less than my hard drive size.

    Dahua Starlight Varifocal Turret (IPC-HDW5231R-Z)

I just tried it with it off and its still the same. Is there a post somewhere with ideal settings? This is next to worthless with how bad it over exposes people.

    Backyard Overview Camera

Thanks aristobrat, that is helpful. I will give it a try, but it looks like I could be missing quite a large area. The attached image is from ipvm.com - the red dots are pretty close to the property line. I basically have to mount mine in the center like that, there is attic access - off to the...

    Backyard Overview Camera

Thanks for the suggestion. I have one of those and might try moving it and testing it back there. Although it may not be able to capture a wide-enough view. Also, perhaps it may be more useful to sacrifice some night version for more megapixels since I am trying to capture a larger area ...?

New computer needed for Blue Iris

I don't know what to tell you - mine didn't come with any Dell tools installed and I haven't had any issues. Either way, JoelJ doesn't need to worry about not having Windows 10 installed on a computer he gets off Ebay.
