I unplugged and there are no alerts on the NVR.

    Relay question

I believe the alarm_out wire on the cameras generates 300mA 12 VDC from the Dahua spec sheet. The K80 specs show it can handle 3 A. I have four cameras wired to the relay. The relay is controlling a siren so when any of the alarm_out wires on the cameras trigger, the relay will power the siren...

    Relay question

Hello Gary, no, the last one just died today while I was home. No power fluctuations, no storms, not even raining. Just started triggering the alarm until I cut power to it.

    Relay question

Hey guys, I'm not sure if you can help me with this question. I am having some issues with a relay in the attic. I think the heat is murdering these things. I thought it was due to power surge but I've had two die this summer with no power issues. I can't really move this guy inside very easily...

Camera is generating Intrusion Alarms but IVS is off

I am not sure if I will explain this correctly but there are no alerts generated on the camera. I can log into the camera and check the logs but there are no alerts. The only way I can see what alerts are generated by the cameras is to check the NVR. I do have IVS set up for intrusion on the...

Camera is generating Intrusion Alarms but IVS is off

that is a great idea BigRed! If you dont mind, could you send me the version you have or point me to where I can get my older version of firmware for the 3.6mm Color4K-X? Your version is about 3 months newer than the version I have.

Camera is generating Intrusion Alarms but IVS is off

Seems like I already have similarly dated firmware. Also what is weird is that this was working great until a few days ago. Nothing changed. Didn't change any settings. Didn't mess with it in any way. Just blasted the siren one morning at 5 am and it been a POS ever since.

Camera is generating Intrusion Alarms but IVS is off

No it is definitely not activating on actual motion. Where the camera is located, there is no motion observed. It is in a backyard and there has been no people, foot traffic, etc.

Camera is generating Intrusion Alarms but IVS is off

copy, will do. Yeah brother this thing has got me baffled. I just redid everything we talked about and it stopped generating alarms again. Something is going on where it flips out and starts firing them off for no reason. Regarding the firmware, should I reach out to Andy directly? I dont see...

Camera is generating Intrusion Alarms but IVS is off

Copy. Did all that. Even went a step further. I deleted the IVS rule completely. Then tried your other suggestions. I thought it was fixed. It stopped generating alarms for about two days then I was sitting on my couch late afternoon today then all of a sudden the siren goes off.

Camera is generating Intrusion Alarms but IVS is off

Alright, still throwing tons of alerts, most of these are outside the schedule I have set under IVS. Is this camera defective? This just started recently and it is triggering alarm out which is annoying because it is triggering the siren I have attached to the alarm_out wire. Also, weird is...

Camera is generating Intrusion Alarms but IVS is off

ok cool, that is exactly what I do. I make all my changes on the camera, not the NVR. I've been tinkering with it and I still can't figure out why it is triggering.

Camera is generating Intrusion Alarms but IVS is off

Thanks for the assist. SMD is not enabled. I rebooted the camera. I am not 100% sure what you mean by re-sync. Google wasn't very helpful but if you can explain it, I'll try it.

Camera is generating Intrusion Alarms but IVS is off

I have a color-4KX that is generating alarms every few seconds on Dahua NVR, NVR608-32-4KS2. IVS under smart plan is unchecked and IVS is unchecked. I can't figure out what would cause this behavior. Anyone seen this before?

what is your bitrate set to?

How to make IVS work if pointed to the ground?

This what doesnt make sense. The cameras aren't consistent. WITTAJ is over here getting it to trigger on toes and I have half my body in it. I get what you are saying about angles and perspective but I can get it to trigger. If the camera's perspective or angle was off, it would never trigger so...

How to make IVS work if pointed to the ground?

Last bit of testing results. This is what the cam sees: Sensitivity 10, turned off Target filter, waited minutes between testing each trigger to make sure it had enough time to reset. Couldnt get this to fire. Fired once, wouldnt fire again. Fired once, wouldnt fire again: Fired...

How to make IVS work if pointed to the ground?

I also unchecked Target Filter with no discernible results. Device Type: IPC-HDBW5441F-AS-E2-3.6mm System Version: V2.840.0000000.18.R, Build Date: 2022-06-29 This supposed to be the newest firmware andy sent me.

How to make IVS work if pointed to the ground?

but it is triggering. The problem is that it is not consistent. @wittaj is triggering on feet. Mine can see legs and feet with an arm thrown in on occasion.

How to make IVS work if pointed to the ground?

This camera is garbage. I tested all the way down to 5 fps. Problem is it triggers inconsistently but it does that even at higher FPS so FPS doesn't seem to matter. I can't narrow down to what makes it trigger. I'll try @Perimeter's suggestion next.

How to make IVS work if pointed to the ground?

Did you try 25, 20, 15, etc, and the only one that worked was 5 or did you just move straight to 5 fps?

How to make IVS work if pointed to the ground?

How about triggering on the NVR instead? I am running a Dahua NVR: DHI-NVR608-32-4KS2 System Version V4.001.0000001.1, Build Date: 2020-08-12 Security Baseline Version V2.1 .

How to make IVS work if pointed to the ground?

Yes running on both cams. Maybe I should also reduce the number of IVS triggers I have on the problem cam?
