    I vote coyote. Coyotes have short tails, and long legs vs foxes with long tails, and short legs. I'm not sure of the color of the foxes in your area, but red foxes have black legs (socks) and a white tip tail.

    That's interesting to watch. Most of them take their time surveying the environment while others just simply go for it instantly. I'm also curious how they all decide it's time to leave. In other words, what natural instinct triggers that behavior?
