IOS Blue Iris: Do alerts give sound notifications?

Unfortunately the manual has NOTHING to do with my issue of why app notifications aren't working. Thanks for your help though.

IOS Blue Iris: Do alerts give sound notifications?

You're lucky. I ran the update again and still nothing. I also removed and re-installed the BI app on my phone and no luck. This is maddening. Sent BI an email to see if they can shed some light on the subject since it doesn't seem to be a widespread issue and just popped up out of nowhere with...

Used PC or server for Blue Iris

Except in reality, I AM saving money, and they aren't "cheap ass old servers that use a ton of power". You clearly have never used one, let alone have ever owned one. But ignorance is bliss. Again, I'm not the confused one here. System cooling have EVERYTHING to do with heat generated by the...

Used PC or server for Blue Iris

Ok, the log file seems to make a big deal over it. Especially since they have a link to a list that shows support for only the new cards. If I never noticed it in the other updates, then ok, but I don't remember seeing it. No they aren't. Have you even used one? Mine idle at 60 watts. That's...

Used PC or server for Blue Iris

Well this update makes use of the newer encoder and they seem to make a big deal over it. But who knows what this new version will do since it just came out. I should move my BI over to me Xeon rig and get a card and pass it through and see how it works. There's plenty of ones that don't consume...

Used PC or server for Blue Iris

With the release of BI 5.1.0.0 yesterday and them adding nVidia encoder support, it would be interesting to see how an nVidia card compares to QS. Where if he had a Xeon machine laying around and could slap in a nvidia card it may work out fine. But there are now some Xeon processors that do...

IOS Blue Iris: Do alerts give sound notifications?

Well, the actual BI app shows alerts when you open it. The phone itself isn't getting triggered/notification beep. In the log file I see iOS push notification failure, so it isn't able to send the phone the notification for whatever reason.

Same here. Saturday mine stopped working too! I've racked my brain all night and can't get it working again.

    Push notifications not working

Earlier today BI stopped pushing alerts to my phone, It was already updated back when the APN issue was around the other week, so I logged into the server and performed the new update to 5.1.0.0 and still no alerts. If i open the BI mobile app it shows a red X next to the camera with an iOS push...

Western Digital Purple Micro Cards vs others?

That’s why you omit the part about it being in a security camera. Just say it was in your point and shooter and they’ll warranty it no problem. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

That's how I have my 5231 setup, in corridor mode. I'll try to get a pic later for OP, but I can see from doorsill to the ceiling of my porch.

Blinking light on power meter triggering camera motion

The blocking out part seems to be working fine, but now me new issue is when cars drive by and their headlights cast shadows that cross the tripwires it sends a trigger. [emoji849] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Blinking light on power meter triggering camera motion

I’m currently using the camera’s IVS, the 5231 doesn’t have exclusion so I can’t do that. But as for the minimum size for trigger, does that work in conjunction with tripwire other is it either or? I tried using BI’s motion and set an exclusion size but it still triggered. I’ll try the tape idea...

Blinking light on power meter triggering camera motion

Ok, so this may seem weird, unless someone else has ran into this, but I have a 5231 that has my power meter in its FOV and there's a blinking light on the top and I think on the bottom as there's sometimes a secondary flash and trigger, I believe it's IR as I don't see it blinking when I'm...

This was my whole point and the issue I had with it. I get it that there's plenty of ways to disable a camera besides moving it, but why does this get a pass when it's preventable? It's a shame that the issue was pretty much blown off, but oh well, I just replaced it with one that did what I...

Thank you for saying this. This is exactly what I was thinking but couldn’t put it doe nicely. If someone has a stick, they could move it. It does move pretty easily unless you really wrench down on the set screw, but you have to watch how tight you go as it could break. I know that's far fetched, but it could happen. I asked about this and mentioned that it could be reachable by some...
