    OpenVPN Problem.

I have the r7000 as well..... Got it working eventually but I ended up installing OpenVPN Server on my Blue Iris Win10 Server as the r7000 was really an extra since I had to use something different for Comsuck. Bit of a pain at the beginning, but now it’s all working very well with 2048-bit...

    Intel CPU Design Flaw

Yea, just read that. Not sure I would care for a home computer... though I can see how it'd be a major issue with Virtual Machines and multiple secure machines/accounts on the one piece of hardware.

Yea, just to give a little more info... exactly what bp2008 said for when you are remote, and not connected to your own home network, you need a secure way into your home network to view the cams from anywhere in the world (except Russia and whoever else bans encrypted traffic on their portion...

    Wiring for 12v IR?

I've been testing new POE cams around my property. I'm feeling like in some situations I may need to supplement the IR with something I saw posted on this forum: IR Flood So before I go wire up the house with Cat6 and POE for my cameras.. I'm wondering what's the typical way folks are wiring...

    Importance of firmware

    Importance of firmware

If you have a camera that has known exploits in the firmware, and there was a newer version that fixed those said exploits, I'd want to upgrade the firmware. So security reasons is one reason... buggy firmware is another.... newer features you may want to use is another... probably more...

Why does buying Dahua seem so sketchy?

I corresponded with Andy on a Saturday (his early Sunday) and my cameras were through customs and at my door here in the northeast US on Thursday. Both cameras are working great with no issues so far. Big thumbs up for Andy.

Why do all Dahua camera IPs default to 192.168.1.XXX?

I had an old WiFi router. Hooked the “internet” port to he WiFi router I currently use and set the WiFi network on the old one to what Dahua uses. Then plugged both into the same switch. Now I can connect via WiFi to old router and config it whole also accessing my .0.x network. Makes...
