    Lorex NV842 Help!!!!!!

There is Lorex Cloud and Lorex Home. Lorex Cloud is very similar to DMSS. Maybe this recorder needs Lorex Home though. When I Google NV842, nothing matches that search. I wonder if it's actually the N842. In which case, Lorex Home would be the correct app.

In that case, no port forwarding is needed. Any phone connected to the same network as the recorder can connect to it using it's ip address.

    Lorex NV842 Help!!!!!!

Are you trying to connect to it via P2P or by using it's ip address? If you want to view it off site, you need to use P2P or use a VPN. You shouldn't need to port forward anything. In fact, I would advise against doing so.

Lorex says I Have to use there POE switch help me

Not a bad idea. The Lorex camera web pages are exactly the same GUI as Dahua.

Okay, yeah, try deleting and adding them from scratch again. And if they still won't connect, pictures help a lot

Deleting them and restarting is not a bad idea at all

What did you change the IP addresses to? It should be similar to the one that's working, but just the last number should be different

I've got no clue. Is the status light still red for that camera? If so, try deleting it and adding it again

I would fix your IP addresses. You might not be able to make any changes if the IP addresses are invalid. They should all be on the same range as the camera that is connecting.

Remote channel number should be 1 for all of them. Channel numbers should be 1, 2, 3, 4, etc.

Based off of your last picture, it looks like camera 3 is on a completely different ip address range than camera 4 is on. My guess is that cameras 1 and 2 are on the same range that 3 is on and that's likely why the NVR can't connect to those cameras. You may need to change their ip addresses.

That red light means the camera did not connect to the NVR successfully. Make sure that there are no duplicate ip addresses. If you changed the username and password of any camera from the defaults, you have to make sure to enter it in the NVR too

So the big box on the top is the cameras that the NVR has found on the network. The big bottom box is the cameras that are currently added to the NVR. So you just need to click the checkboxes next to the cameras in the top box and then click add

Wittaj is exactly right. Use the LAN/WAN port. And no, you don't have to use a Lorex switch. I e installed countless Lorex NVR's and have had no problems using switches from other manufacturers. You can't expect the car.eras to automatically add to the NVR though. They only do that if you plug...

    Cat 5e cable 10MBps instead of 1Gbps

With a short run like this, I can't imagine that electrical wires would drop the speeds this significantly unless a huge portion of the run follows the electrical wires. I would think that it's more likely that the wire is damaged in some way. Maybe there's a nail in the attic that ripped it up...

    Second NVR

Something like this Minix Mini PC is super low power. You could just leave it on all the time running the Smart PSS software and then all you have to do is change your TV input to see your cameras. MINIX Z83-4 Plus/MAX 4GB/128GB Fanless Mini PC, Intel Cherry Trail Windows 10 Pro [Dual-Band...

    Second NVR

You don't need a second NVR for this. You can use the Smart PSS app to connect to the NVR over your network. I don't think there are any smart TV's that have this app (I could be wrong), but you could definitely put in a mini PC and plug that into your TV. Alternatively, you could use an HDMI...

Axis P3727 PLE red rail clip

Its unlikely that you'll be able to purchase it on its own. Axis tech support may be able to send a replacement in the case that the clip falls out and gets lost, but they won't work with the end user. Did you lose one of the clips? They do fall out pretty easily, I've installed dozens of this...

It's likely the transformer, but I personally would check the voltage just to be sure before going through the effort to replace it.

Have you metered the wire to see if the voltage is correct?

    A New Doorbell

This is a completely different doorbell. The AD410 and the Lorex 2k are 4MP while this one is 5MP. I'm not sure if they're on different sensors and I am yet to see a side by side comparison, so I'm not sure how the two compare yet.

I Would just wrap some electrical tape around the wire so the gland can wrap around it better.

screw size for Dahua PFA137 junction box

I'm pretty sure that the cover needs to stay off. The cameras base takes the place of the cover. You only need the cover if the camera is not actually mounting onto the box.

    Lorex 2K doorbell

Here is a video proving that the doorbell works in Blue Iris. I was giving my opinion on this doorbell because I have used it before. The original poster did not request that I include links in my review, so I did not. My claims are all based off of facts and you have no reason to accuse me of...

    Lorex 2K doorbell

I have not done it myself as I don't use Blue Iris, but it is Onvif compliant and has an RTSP stream. If you search through other threads on this doorbell, other users that do use Blue Iris have reported that they can successfully add it.

Do any of you actually use Dahua P2P for external access to your cams?

That's right. All ofy cameras have P2P disabled, but my NVR has it enabled. I get all of those features through the NVR. There's no point in having P2P on a camera and the NVR. Just one is enough
