I have the same camera but under Iris mine only has a toggle for "Auto" and not the ability to control the level like yours... Maybe we are on different firmware..Anyone know anything about this?
Thanks.
Gotcha. So no “snapshot” thumbnail of what actually triggered the notification just the same generic thumbnail w time snap for each and every notification. It would be nice to have that so you could quickly browse the notifications without actually clicking and playing them , know what I...
Hey @bigredfish ...Do you use DMSS app for push notifications? Got it all set up on my iPhone and all is working well but was wondering when I get the notification on the iPhone app, is there no way to get an actually thumbnail snapshot with the notification, rather than a generic photo the app...
HAHA Well I got on my wifes WIN PC with Chrome and created the IVS with no problem and it stuck. Hooray! Good grief, now I have to ask her permission to do yet another thing....lol borrow her computer... I am not a windows guy at all.... looked like her machine has Edge on it....can you...
HAHAH no problem.. I should have opened with "I have a MacBook M1 running MacOS." Just didn't think to mention since it seems all the camera settings Ive made have set no problem. Is the IVS drawing issue a common complaint.? I have read on here numerous times that IE is standard but I have...
Yea, "Smart PLan" is where I enabled "IVS" and then attempted to create the "Tripwire" rule... The rule did not stick...
Macbook Air using Chrome if that matters however Ive been using this computer all day fiddling with settings and everything seems to "stick" and function just fine.
Good evening @bigredfish
I am sure this is user error so forgive me. Just got my first camera, (no NVR yet) same as above, to use as a test camera at different install locations. I have not installed anywhere yet cause it's too damn cold here in the midwest so I am just trying to familiarize...
Is he a frequent visitor? lol. Can I ask, what IR floods are you using and how are the powered? That one in the backyard seems to do very well especially since you describe the extreme darkness back there
Thanks.
I appreciate your input.
I was trying to avoid this because I’m lazy around the holidays but With some elbow grease, I could technically get network cables from my four cameras in garage area down into my basement, and then simply plug them each into the back of a POE NVR. Likewise, plug...
So in this scenario, would this work. I swap out my POE switch in the garage area for a regular switch and plug all those cameras in the garage area into that switch. Then run the cable from that switch down into the basement and connect directly to one of the POE ports on the NVR. Purchase a...
thanks @wezal15 Now that I think of it, the set up videos I have watched were PoE NVR which obviously can put cameras on its own seperate network since it has a built-in switch right?
@wittaj @Ri22o @bigredfish
could I please get your input on this so I can start to run more network cables if that’s what’s needed? Any network suggestions much appreciated
thanks in advance!
Thanks for the reply. Forgive me in advance for my lack of networking knowledge ( still learning lol) but if you are asking could I remove the connection from the PoE switch to the asus node (loft area) and instead run another cable to connect that switch and the other PoE switch (basement...
Hello,
See attachment please.
As the title suggest, I am trying to see if this setup will work to add a EmpireTech NVR 8XCH-AI (non PoE) and some Andy cams to my existing setup that includes Cat6 cabling thats already in the locations listed and existing PoE switches.
I watched the NVR setup...
I have a MacBook Air 2020, M1 running Sonoma 14.1.2. I have the same cameras and NVR on order. Do you think I will have full access to setup and features or will I need something else?
thanks!
Yea, I see its really popular and probably offers more features than I would ever no how to use...Im more of a simple man and probably would be content with a NVR unless I am missing something obvious that makes an NVR a non stater for some???
