Alerts and Clips not working on Galaxy

Nope, still no 'Alerts' shown on the phone.....I did get an alert symbol next to the cam live feed though, but nothing in the list. The log shows there was an alert. I logged off, then back on and still nothing....The "Boss" tells me enough already, we have to go. I'll get back onto this later...

Alerts and Clips not working on Galaxy

I'm there now. The only thing I see is that it wasn't checked in the settings. I'm testing now....

Alerts and Clips not working on Galaxy

It says admin in users and there's a checkmark next to the username. The username matches what I used in the mobile app, 'injunear'....

Alerts and Clips not working on Galaxy

I'm new to this app and thus far pretty happy with the live feeds but, I'm not seeing any alerts and I'm not seeing any clips. I do get 'notifications' to the phone. My alert list is empty and shows nothing at all regardless of whether I get a 'notification' from any cam. Of course they do...

    Dealership Wheel Theft

Geez, what kind of morons would try and steal rims off a well lit vehicle lot like this and think they would get away with them?

    trash dumpers caught

I don't get this guy. Where I live there's bunches of people you can call that'll be happy to pickup any large appliances so that they can sell the metal scrap. They're usually there to pickup the next morning if I leave it outside my home. Just look in Craigslist.

Help in choosing an app for my Samsung Galaxy

Well, I'm impressed. This is much better than the app I had installed 3 years ago. I have yet to explore the push option, if any, to receive alerts but the monitoring of the cams via the internet without wifi and via 4g is much more reliable than via the old app I had....I'll look for and...

Help in choosing an app for my Samsung Galaxy

See my edit above....No, it was not installed. The first time I purchased it I went via a Google search and clicked a link to "app store" android. From there I purchased the app and paid for it. It had a status of 'installed' shown and there was a progress bar that was showing activity so I...

Help in choosing an app for my Samsung Galaxy

I have the 'apps' button. I've looked everywhere on the phone, including the settings/application manager, and I see nothing that says 'blue iris'. I assume that's what I'm looking for, right? I assume this is a client for port forwarding to the phone? I also tried to download it a second time...

Help in choosing an app for my Samsung Galaxy

Thanks. I went to the store and paid the 9.99 and I think after paying it said 'downloaded' but I can't find the app on my phone. I went to paypal and it shows the payment to 'perspective software'. I'm relatively new to Android so I haven't installed many apps (I used Apple Iphone before)...

Help in choosing an app for my Samsung Galaxy

I need an app that will allow me to view my cam's remotely when on a road trip. I recall a couple years ago trying an app (can't recall the name of it) that 'sort of did the job' but had some issues when using anything other than when the phone was using my home wifi. The issue was, if I recall...

ETHERNET interface? Works only nearby (10ft.)

Well, they're so cheap that I ordered enough for my neighbors house and enough to pull out mine and reroute with new cable. Again, it's not worth making cables anymore.......Thanks again!

ETHERNET interface? Works only nearby (10ft.)

Wow, thanks....You can't make them any cheaper than that for sure. And they're 24awg too....Have you used them for POE?

ETHERNET interface? Works only nearby (10ft.)

Well, the cabling is stamped cat5e and was bought from either HD or Lowes, can't recall. No interference from lighting. Anyway, I found the problem and it's with the crimp connectors I used. They mate and work fine with my ethernet switches and router but don't seem to mate right to the...

ETHERNET interface? Works only nearby (10ft.)

Yeah, that's what i thought originally too. The cable that inputs to the switches is >20 ft. It operates the switches fine. If I take that cable and remove it from the switch and plug directly into the IP cam it won't work! So it drives the switch but not the cam. This is two different cables...

ETHERNET interface? Works only nearby (10ft.)

Well, I've been in electronic's for nearly 40 years as both a tech and an engineer (retired) so I definitely know how to crimp on connectors.:lol:Besides that, I did originally buy some premade cables off ebay that I used and it didn't work which is why I made my own. That's why I'm stumped...

ETHERNET interface? Works only nearby (10ft.)

They are powered with the wall warts and they are using the original length of power cable. I put a strip in an eave just to plug them in. There's no long power leads. The SRICAM'S I installed about three years ago. I don't think you can get them anymore. I only have one that active. The others...

ETHERNET interface? Works only nearby (10ft.)

It is 568B....That's why I was confused because they didn't work. Here's the setup as it is now: There's two cams outside my garage door. They have two ethernet cables that are < 10 ft. attached to an ethernet switch on the other side of the wall. The switch is controlled by a cable that's...

ETHERNET interface? Works only nearby (10ft.)

Umm, I made these cables long ago. I'll have to get back to you on the standard. The wire was purchased from either Lowes or HD and is of adequate wire gauge, but I'll double check..... Oh, and yes, I know it's supposed to work over 300ft. What baffled me was that they work fine using a 10 ft...

ETHERNET interface? Works only nearby (10ft.)

I have a question regarding the ethernet interface of these cameras. I have SRICAM and ESCAM (mix) and the cameras will setup and communicate fine if plugged directly into the router (Linksys) but if I make a 25 ft. or longer cable they will not work. Of course I've tried different cables and...
