On an unrelated note, this works well for plugging the back of the box if you are using a corner mount (OER Rubber Trunk Floor Pan Plugs 1667195) - Expensive for what it is, but fits perfectly..Poked a small hole in it for the LAN cable as you can see in the pic.

@beingaware are you an engineer with Dahua? Those are the only people that should have been playing with my camera... Andy, I ***REALLY*** don't appreciate you giving out my camera login information to random people to play with. The issue I have is specific to my camera being defective, not...

I don't notice this with the 8232. It struggles with focusing in low light, but it doesn't change between day/night, especially if you have the IR enabled.

And that's where I got mine...Andy's shipping was insanely fast to Colorado via DHL.

I don't think I'll need to switch profiles if I specify a minimum shutter speed that is global. I was just mentioning that their method of switching profiles is time based and not light based...I suppose it may be useful for an indoor installation where a business has a particular closing time.

Got this mounted at the end of my driveway to capture plates: Overall, it seems very impressive. I'm still adjusting things - Here are a few notes for discussion if it helps anyone... This camera is fairly large - There are enough pics of it everywhere so I won't post one, but don't expect...

Review-I'll be the guinea pig for the new SD59225U-HNI PTZ.

@Solar Deity - My table looks just like yours now (PFA120/corner mount). Are the bolts included with the corner mount for concrete? Wasn't entirely sure but they look that way. Those things are a lot beefier than one might expect...I was surprised.

PFA110: PFA110 | Dahua Technology PFA111: PFA111 | Dahua Technology PFB300S: DH-PFB300S PFB303W: PFB303W | Dahua Technology Interesting that the PFB300S is only listed on the US site...All of the detailed spec sheets/drawings are on those links too.

The PFB303W is definitely nicer - PFA110, which comes with these cameras, always shows matched with the PFB300S. The PFA111 always shows matched with the PFB303W, however the threaded end seems to be the same for both. Their own flow chart...

@hmjgriffon - Someone mentioned an out of whack jig, which I would tend to believe. I wouldn't think that they are manually adjusting and welding these, although the difference in error seems to suggest it. I would also guess that this basic stuff (mounts, brackets, etc.) is outsourced to...

Funny you mention that - I almost thought of a test install to see if they were compensating for some sort of lens distortion or something. I doubt it, but...

@ljw2k - You're at the plastic spacer and tube of silicone level... Screw that these cameras are so cool - This thread is clearly now about bad mounts :)

@EMPIRETECANDY - I think so, but you might want to double check either with a bubble level or send some pics like above (plate flush on something, pipe flush on something) to double check.

Andy, if you happen to have a small bubble level, or bubble level app on your phone that you can set on the side and/or top like these pics just to double check, might be helpful. I'd hate for you to ship a bunch that are the same...Kind of difficult to tell from your pic if they are any different.

Review-I'll be the guinea pig for the new SD59225U-HNI PTZ.

It's not that shimming wouldn't work, but for most of us these cams will be up for many years and having a semi "ghetto" install just isn't very appealing...Based on the photo above, that would be a awful lot of silicone too - I agree that it still looks off, even shimmed. Could just be the...

Review-I'll be the guinea pig for the new SD59225U-HNI PTZ.

I'm ordering some other things from him, so I was under the impression that he would be replacing mine along with these other shipments...I checked with Dahua in the US just for fun, and (not surprisingly) they didn't want to have anything to do with it. For my mounting situation (corner mount)...

Saw a few people posting about the PFA110 and PFB300S. The cameras, at least at they come from Andy, include these accessories...The PFB300S is what we were talking about being welded slightly off.

Review-I'll be the guinea pig for the new SD59225U-HNI PTZ.

With the angle of the PFB300S mount, that will keep any water out so I plan on just putting the entire connector inside my wall and then sealing around that hole. Depends on your mounting situation though...Adding the PFA120 to the mix still leaves an open hole on the back side of the PFA151...

Review-I'll be the guinea pig for the new SD59225U-HNI PTZ.

Count me in for the less than ideal mounts - Just received two of these from Andy and both mounts are welded wrong. When looking at the bottom they are just a bit off angle, which is what is causing this... Other notes: Construction on these seems very solid There is a fan inside - perhaps...
