    Pandemic threat? Anyone else concerned?

I think a good predictor of this Virus is what's happening on the 3 Cruise ships. Very difficult to cover up, spin or down play how bad/contagious this Virus is. From what I'm seeking, not good.

That's the way it is in China, Still lot's of Coal burning power plants. Travel 2 months thru China in Spring, Asking the Chinese whom traveled to the West, what impressed them the most, was the clear blue sky. I traveled to Wuhan. Incredible city, It's their Detroit, Over 20 million...

    Pandemic threat? Anyone else concerned?

Now this is worrisome. Cronora Virus in India Kerala is a major tourist destination, esp. from Europe. Let’s say some of the European visitors were exposed, and now back in Europe. Still don’t think were getting an accurate idea the extent of how fast this is spreading, or how contagious...

    New Sunba Illuminati

I too got caught up with the Auto-Track bug, Bought 2 different cameras. Do yourself a favor, listen to Looney. You’re only going to be disappointed. It’s real cool when it works, but will never meet your expectations. You will end up spending untold amount of time tweaking it trying to...

    Pandemic threat? Anyone else concerned?

This week I cut my vacation short in Asia. Mostly due to my concerns about the Corona Virus. A few friends thought I might have over reacted. But they were not there, and didn’t see and experience what going on there. Started on January 13th. When arriving in Asia, first thing I noticed...

    Building a B.I, dedicated Intel i-9 system.

Thanks for sharing. Don't think I'm quite read to jumping onto building a i-9 system. Was starting to get very expensive. Most likely will do later down the road. Till then, bought myself a used i-7 -8700. This will be a second system to assist with my heavy load.

Yea, that was a new one to me, On the old motherboards, all you need to do was the CPU and Ram memory (now called DDR) , Now there is SSD with heat sink for the motherboard. I'm going to keep my i7 for my daily use and gaming,

    Building a B.I, dedicated Intel i-9 system.

I’m writing seeking advice from this excellent forum. First of all, thank you for being so helping set up my IP security system. Also, for draining my bank account (#32 cameras, and still growing). As mentioned, yes, I have 32 cameras. This caused my present system to bog down. My rate now...

    Pandemic threat? Anyone else concerned?

Been a nurse over 35 years. Been exposed to just about every contagious pathogen (HIV, Hep C, MRSA, infectious TB, etc.). Mostly Psych ER. Lot’s of scary stuff with violent patients. But never have I been so nervous as I am with this one. Long time ago, took an interest in the Spanish Flu...

    Pandemic threat? Anyone else concerned?

Just Transited thru Hong Kong International. Very sobering what I saw. Quiet. Tension that you could almost cut a knife with. Almost everybody masked up. Very apparent, nobody really wanted to be there. Was getting ready to take some photos, but people started glaring at me when I raised...

Review-I'll be the guinea pig for the new SD59225U-HNI PTZ.

Just reviewing you previous clip of the guy walking the dog. Looks like when the PTZ activated, it also activated IR lights. In the image, the license plate lit up with the IR lights. This would cause your camera to immediately focus on that spot and disregard the guy walking the dog.

Mounting cameras on a satellite stand,

I lived in many beautiful places [see avatar name], but, I like it here best. Reno has soo much to offers, and weather is to my liking, (high mountainous desert). Skiing only 30 miles away, and not having to live in the snow.

Mounting cameras on a satellite stand,

Great! I"m pretty happy with blue Iris. But now, I"m getting into A.I., might have to transfer back to NVR. (this is getting out of control $$$$$) Retirement killing me. Don't do things half ass

I believe loony said it best, PTZ is mostly a gimmick. Quite not ready for prime time. Think best to have just fixed cameras. Less frustration. For me this is mostly a hobby. Half the fun is tweaking the cameras.
