    You can also register a trunk on the 8003, so you can have an incoming call without setting up sip on the 8003 device., But there is no audio... I setup a trunk in asterisk to register as extension my first indoor panel, that works with audio... Advantage, early video still works on indoor...

    No, port 5065 is used by the indoor panels, they register on the 8003 on port 5065... 5060 is used as listening port, if you configure/enable the sip on the 8003, you should leave it default... It depends what you want to do

    The main issue if you connect the devices to SIP, you will loose video as early media, that just doesn't work on indoor/softphones... So you will never see who is calling... Only after pickup.... So I decided to reverse it's and to register as an extension on the indoor using the private hik...

    Yeah, if you don't want to invest, then use your HA tablet for your door intercom... You can already setup and test, even if you don't have an intercom.... Just install the addon and sip card... Use a smartphone to act as an intercom , so make the call from your test device

    HA will read the state of the 8003, if state = ringing (PBX integration) it will send you a popup notification, from that notification you can define actions, like answer call, open door... The action "answer call" will open the view with the sip card, that auto joins the conference

    Well, for an 8003 device you need the indoor , if you use their private protocol, there are other models that work standalone... If you go the private protocol road, you can only use their hikconnect cloud service on your Android phones...

    Correct, with a sip server you can use HA as client or just softphone... For indoor purposes you could also use a google hub if you have any, just cast the video to a hub device to see the early video :-)
