    Pandemic threat? Anyone else concerned?

This will be such a massive backfire once again by Democrats. We sit here and watch the Democrat Governors and Mayors keep things shut down while screaming about Trump being a dictator. The internet will not be forgetting these facts. I also see republicans winning seats in California this...

How to - Stream an IP Camera To a TV

I was trying to figure out this thread and maybe DLNA was necessary long ago but with adapters I believe you can now run the signal as far as you need with Cat5 cable. I run a 32" 1080p TV as my blue Iris computer monitor now just using the VGA out and TV has a VGA in. My BI computer doesn't...

Getting motion triggers but can't see why

6 seconds is plenty of time - pretty sure the manual says 2 seconds - have mine set at 3 now and tested them all working fine.

    Racoon Cam ?

I think you are on the right track for the cameras but not sure how taking their picture is going to solve your problem :) I was just looking at some motion activated water sprinkler / animal chasers on Amazon though for another thread. Seems they learn not to come back pretty quickly.

Please help. The PTZ function of the HD IR SPEED DOME CAMERA does not work. MODEL: NM4RT-52718 DEVICE VERSION: XM530_80x50_8M SOFTWARE VERSION: V5.00

There are a few threads on this from folks with other cams - here is one that I am familiar with though. https://ipcamtalk.com/threads/no-ptz-function-for-h-view-dome-cam-ptz-500-in-blue-iris.47782/

No PTZ Function for h.view Dome Cam PTZ-500 in Blue Iris

You can also set or adjust any preset you wish in Blue Iris 5 from the main screen. Adjust the cam for whatever view you like Use the preset drop down menu by the PTZ controls to pick a preset # that you like hold down the "location pin" for about 2 seconds and it's set, kind of like a car radio...

    Pandemic threat? Anyone else concerned?

as more and more information comes out on how the true numbers are way under the projections and people start to see how difficult it is to recover from this - the narrative of "The Little Boy That Cried Wolf" will start to emerge. Next fall when they try to push this or a similar situation at...

    Pandemic threat? Anyone else concerned?

Out today. The sickest people are the ones sheltering at home. Cuomo says it's 'shocking' most new coronavirus hospitalizations are people who had been staying home

Motion detected but recording not triggered

Return the megaphone and purchase a high quality decibel meter. Laws will be based on decibel levels and nothing more - annoying or not, that is in the ear of the beholder. I'd know the actual law, record the noise levels, call him over while you have a cooler of your favorite adult beverage and...

    Time Lapse Hikvision 7608

Well - I was just tinkering and saw that Blue Iris does this and does it just as if not simpler than the direct from the cam method. 1. I found it best to create a new folder somewhere for all of the snapshots you plan to make a movie from. 2. Ctrl-S for Blue Iris Settings > Clips and archiving...

    Easier way to make zones?

I do very much as you do then. One zone covers everything but I have separated my other zones per that video. I am going to go back and watch it again for the 4th time to check the logic of his reasoning which you kind of stated anyway. Testing is always fun when I make the time. Oh, I also...

for "zone crossing" ? well, I won't argue with Ken, but I'll have to make time for some tests soon  Thanks

    Time Lapse Hikvision 7608

hmmm, at 1 frame every 30 minutes played at a normal speed gives 1 second of video per 15 hours of real time. I've seen videos of plants growing that were shot at 1 frame every 10 minutes :) Looking forward to your output.

    Easier way to make zones?

It is my understanding though that if using "Zone Crossing" - like if an object moves from zone B to C as your trigger, then you must have a blank square between the zones. There are video tutorials in the wiki section where he gives some reasons why. Definitely worth a watch. I just don't...

What software are you using? Might not matter as I think this is something you will need to do in the camera itself - and possibly using an SD card. A quick google came up with these instructions for what I think you are trying to do but I've never done that myself. If you do get it working I...

No PTZ Function for h.view Dome Cam PTZ-500 in Blue Iris

I've no idea what rstp'd the camera into blue iris means unless you changed the http:// to rstp:/ in the config section but . . . I ran into a similar situation with one of my cams and found that no matter what type of input I used for many of the other items you set, I had to let the camera...

Video Of Blower Being Stolen From My Gardeners Truck

Amen to that brother. The wife was telling me about something she saw at the neighbors. I backed up the cam and she was incorrect. No doubt if he gets interested he will add on but it appears for now that he already has 2 cams and just wants to know what software he can use to run them both at once. No expert here but first - you used the "R" word - never go full "R" word. Okay, got that out of my system - - if your cams are both Onvif compliant/capable then many softwares will work and my favorite free one is SmartPSS but there are others too. There is a section of the forum that...
