OK, I think I "MAY" have found the way to record from this intercom the way it is supposed to be, which is not a continuous pull from a solution like NAS + Surveillance Station, but a remote recording in response to a motion event detected by the unit.
I summarize my findings:
All the owners of...
Mmmm I doubt they made a firwmare "just for you", they probably knew already of this issue and decided to fix it for everybody. Their website does not mention anything about a special release for certain units.
I applied v2.0.8_build200409 since the day of the installation, so maybe before I had...
In the US website there is a more recent build: Firmware
Just surch for "8003"
And this is another issue with Hikvision: Global, US and EU website offer randomly different versions for their firmwares. I usually scan them all to make sure I get the most recent one
You are right, the 12V contact does not have any voltage when intercom is powered by PoE, it's just to power it directly. If you use PoE you need another source for the relay coil, you may just decide to power it via 12VDC and there is also your power for the coil. Just do not run 24VAC through...
That was very straightforward for me. The intercom has two NO (Normally Open) outputs, so it can open or activate two different things. As I already had an automatic gate system with an additional manual button (NO) to open the gate, I just connect in parallel to it.
If you have a typical 24VAC...
I sadly agree with most of these points. I add that to these days their cameras web interface still use ActiveX and requires IE11, which is simply unbelievable. Hikvision also refuse to provide any end-user support even for US-bought cameras that were bought from B&H, like I did.
But I had many...
Eventually that is what I did for this intercom, and what I use to do with a bunch of cheap IP cameras long replaced with new Hikvision's.
The problem with the "NAS - driven approach" is that the Synology (Surveillance Station App), in order to record and implement its own motion detection, has...
Hi all,
I have this configuration:
single family home, inhabited and remotely monitored (non accessible because of virus lockdown)
one Hikvision DS-KD8003-IME1 doorbell (static IP, default ports)
four DS-KH8350-WTE1 indoor stations setup to all ring together (one is master on static IP, the...
Hi,
I have been having this (then) expansive PTZ camera for a couple years. I think it came originally with fw 5.4.0 and now it is on 5.5.71.
I cannot connect it to HikConnect because there is no "Platform Access" option under Network Settings - Advanced Settings, like in my other 20+ cameras...
Yes Iamahed to install it and configure it so that buzzing the door bell makes all four indoor display ring. The trick is to have them configured as one main station on a fixed IP (no DHCP) and the other displays as Extensions, pointing not to the IP of the doorbell bit to the IP of the master...
Never mind, I found the answer in this documents along with configuration tips, it's possible!

Hi,
I am planning to buy and install a single-button, single-module Hikvision modular doorbell DS-KD8003-IME1 with indoor station DS-KH8350-WTE1 7" touch screen in a one-family, 3-floors house.
I wonder if multiple indoor stations can be installed to work "in parallel", one per floor of the...
Hi,
I want to install an Hikvision IP video intercom to my Villa, where I already have several Hikvision IP cameras.
I am debating between these two models, I cannot tell if there is other substantial differences between the look and construction obviously, and that the DS-KV8102-IM has a card...
Hi to all,
I have about two dozen Hikvision cameras in various locations all installed by me for personal use: 2142, 2542, and 2642.
Half of them, about a dozen, are mini-dome 2542. Of these and only these, two have their IR-cut filter fail after less than one year: the filters would remain...
