Thanks, didn't notice that. Really bad though that I now have to re-login to every single website (including some with 2-step verification) due to one websites update.

    Rack mount BI server reccomendations

Don't do 1U, you are restricted on power supplies, CPU cooler etc. I have mine in a Rosewill 2U rackmount case (RSV-2600), which takes any normal power supply and mini-ITX or micro-ATX motherboard. The included fans are garbage molex powered ones which run 100% all the time. I replaced the 3 of...

It may just be doing object travels 350, on the whole screen, and it's a coincidence that you have zone A the entire view.

Ghosting effect in recorded clips - Only during motion

? That watermark setting you are seeing is in the camera, not Blue Iris. If you have Blue Iris creating an overlay (text & graphics overlays enabled) but recording direct to disk, the overlay will appear in the live feed, but won't be on the recorded clip.

Edge Vector motion sensor algorithm settings

I wonder if I should try turning off 'object size exceeds'. Although I have it set to 67%, and her car would only be filling 25-30% of the pixels. Earlier in the week when I had zones A & B, a clip that missed her car backing out of the driveway, when I ran it through the test mode, it showed...

Ghosting effect in recorded clips - Only during motion

I'll maybe try this new driver when I have time. Make sure hardware acceleration is still working, by looking in task manager.

It missed my wife's white car pulling into the driveway last night at dusk. I changed the make time back to 0.5s.

Ghosting effect in recorded clips - Only during motion

If you disable direct to disk, then it has to both decode, then re-encode. I have an i5-6600. Same GPU (HD 530). The newest drivers past 2016 cause ghosting. I've tried them all. I'm running 20.19.15.4463 from 5/25/2016. It's all that works for me. Any newer driver causes ghosting, or breaks...

I've changed the 'object moves' to 500. We'll see how that goes.

    CPU size

The amount you are going to spend to find a used i7-2600 (or overspend on a new if you can find), you could just buy a complete refurbed Dell or HP with a much newer more efficient and powerful processor.

Ghosting effect in recorded clips - Only during motion

That processor doesn't exist. Yes it matters, Blue Iris decodes the stream, then writes it direct to disk.

Should be a download, and an emailed key. Depends where you buy it from.

I'm getting lots of false positives today with tree/leaf shadows & wind, but it's at least catching cars coming in/out of the driveway. Once I'm home I'll try increasing the object moves distance.

The intel video driver for your GPU. Try updating it, or rolling it back to an older driver. What exact CPU do you have?

Double the price and complexity for what he needs to run 3-4 cams off one ethernet run from his NVR.

    Running Power to Cameras

Correct, IF you need it. Your NVR may provide enough power out of one port already.

    Running Power to Cameras

I have no idea what DVR you have, so I'd only be guessing. You need to looks up the specs on what it outputs per port.

    Running Power to Cameras

No, the power and network goes over the same line, that's how POE works. These are then splitting the POE power to the 4 ports. You wouldn't want to power 4 PTZ cams off these, unless you used the 3rd one, and it would need a 60w injector to power it, as a regular POE switch outputs either 15w...

    Running Power to Cameras

@SouthernYankee He's asking for 3-4 cams on one ethernet run. The first one you linked will only do POE on ports 1 & 2. The 2nd one is only 2 port, but on the same product page has the same 4 port I already linked above (my 3rd link). I too, have not used any of these.

What feature(s) would you like to see in Blue Iris?

I've emailed him to ask for different zone colors when editing the zones. Currently the zones are all the same yellow color. When you select another zone, the zones you have created become empty yellow boxes. Depending on the current view & light levels, I find it difficult to see the zones. It...

Edge Vector motion sensor algorithm settings

What I'm finding, is the edge vector doesn't work well with zone crossing. My driveway is zone A. The sidewalk, boulevard and road are zone B. I had a 1 pixel gap between A & B, and had zone G covering everything for tracking through the gap. I had 'object crosses zones' set to A-B, so that...

    12 x 8MP - system requirements - discussion

With your vague questions & responses, you are going to get vague answers. First you said '16 4k cameras at 15 fps'. More recently you said you need 30fps. What are the true specs of the system, and what do you need to achieve in the end? For card games you likely want to record 30FPS (or...
