    I use the cameras speaker output and a cheap audio amplifier and a horn. It is very very loud and somewhat clear.

    I don't know but I was thinking having my cameras and ardunios meet somewhere around JSON. BI doesn't interface well with com ports. Not sure if it would take those commands, however... sorry not sure.

    Night mode on my BI machine and displays utilizes "negativescreen". You set your own 5x5 color matrices. My display is more-or-less red so to reduce wakefullness - inducing blues.

    Not quite, I wanted /BI/ to connect to two interfaces of one camera. A camera has LAN and WiFi. LAN beats wifi until someone unplugs the switch. Then it'll be nice for BI to switch over to a secondary net if. I think it's impossible.

    I was gonna say you're over your head. I see not that you are using the API to machine-learning. I wanted facial recognition and that may be possible... Triggering what, say, the hounds?

    I wanted to know by watching a clip, visually, when it was triggered. I tried to run a image progam via cmd line to invert a colored box. No problem, except the image overlay does NOT refresh, only if you reset the camera. Any way to get a trigger show visually, more than the little rectangles?

    Idea: Using more than one Net IF (IP) for camera?

    Folks, I've used BI for years and I know this isn't really possible so it's an idea I propose. If my LAN is d/c'd for some reason, I'd like BI to switch to an alternative IP ie (from *.158 to *.168) - the WiFi interface. Slow and choppy, but better than "no signal".

    My EasyN's are PoS. They have strong IR, but severley vinettned to a factor of about 12db. The night image looks like a globe. IR illuminators can be pricey sadly.

    I agree it could be a little more apparent - especially in respect to the camera window and/or recorded clip. A red circle is appropriate. I can combine Alerts to trigger an app called negativescreen (the dev hates commandline, but you can reconfig the ini and use kill, etc) to turn the screen...

    90% WIFI Signal but Camera Keeps Losing Signal...HELP!

    WiFi is trash. I can get a better connection from 4 miles away, 120Mbps from a node sharing to 100s of others via 4GLTE. 3x as fast as I can from 48 inches. I just can't understand why one wireless technology works and 802.11 just can't get it's sh*t together.

    The red border alone has been known to awaken me. However I'd like something akin to a recordable video overlay only when triggered. Video consists of pre trigger, triggered, a few seconds, break, interfframes on periodic record. It would alert you real time visually and let you troubleshoot...

    No kidding. I had my cameras go "ALL STOP" with a recent release. Hoping each rls subsequent fixes this rather basic function of BI. Not happy but I see I can downgrade.
