BI UI3 Clarification RE Server Status - FPS

How many frames can the UI handle and how is the number set? What affects the rate? I sometimes see a red or yellow bar and need to find out why... Many thanks!

BI UI3 Clarification RE Server Status - FPS

Would someone clarify what the UI3 (lower left corner) Server Status - FPS represents? Is it the FPS being pumped from BI to the UI3 running at the time? How is it calculated? Thanks!

How to reduce "New" storage folder size?

I'm having ntdll.dll crashes caused by BI on the d:\ drive about every other day. Ken asked me to try to narrow the issue down. Typically the ntdll.dll crashes are caused by HD issues. I have run HD diagnostics on both with no errors. I have run MS DISM twice and SFC with no errors. So I'm...

How to reduce "New" storage folder size?

I have a WD 6TB Purple HD dedicated to BI "New" storage (d:\). I believe I over allocated the drive leaving only ~17GB free. Since I have 12 cams, each producing 1GB per cut, I think I'm too close and this will eventually cause problems. I don't know how to reduce or lower the New folder...

    Amazon to acquire Ring

Not sure this is a good thing. Seems like once a small highly innovative company is purchased, they have to contend with all the corporate policies, procedures, etc. which are energy draining and anti-innovative....

I found where the local storage is stored and added an exclude for that file location to CCleaner. CCleaner no longer deletes my UI3 settings... Thanks for your help bp!

    Blue Iris UI3

This question only pertains to UI3. I ran a test. I used CCleaner to delete all cookies. Then ran UI3. I had to re-enter the UID/PW and then set the timeout setting to 0. I let it run a few minutes and shut it down. I then reran CCleaner and found no cookies. But the UID.PW, etc were deleted...

Regarding UI3Beta, I use CCleaner to keep my cookies cleaned up. I can save the ones I want. I haven't found the UI3 cookies. So when I run CCleaner I loose my UI3 settings. What are they named? Thanks!

Merging BVR/JPG files from replaced HD

I didn't know the db rebuild would take so long. Regarding the clip db move back to c:, I'll give it a go! Thanks! Actually, I rethought this. The whole system is working really well right now so I think I will delay moving the db back to c:\. No sense in messing it up. I had a really hard time...

Merging BVR/JPG files from replaced HD

My new setup, based upon the advice here at IP Cam Talk, is working well. Thanks for the inputs. My replacement c drive (WD 1TB, 2 1/2") is dedicated to Windows 10 Pro, BIT, and BI. Plus a couple of support utilities. My new d drive (WD Purple 6TB) is dedicated to BI database and the NEW folder...

    Blue Iris UI3

Not urgent. I suggested via form that the new UI allow us to hide inactive cams. I have two cams that are inactive at night but continue to display under UI3. That would be a nice feature, Thanks bp2008 for all your hard work and effort. We really like using the new UI!

Point me to explanation and best practices on folder use

I'm starting a new pc dedicated to BI (a refurbished Dell OptiPlex 7050 thanks to Fenderman). It came with a 1TB HD. I am planning to add a WD Purple 6TB as the 2nd drive. Set up the c: drive with opsys, BI, BIT, and the NEW folder. Then archive them to the STORED folder on the purple drive...

    Auto startup error 80040154

Okay I have been humbled. For one camera there are over hundreds and hundreds of registry key entries. And even then I have no way of knowing what the dword/hex values mean. The entry names are mostly decipherable but even here many are hard to make out. Well let's just say this project is DOA...

    Auto startup error 80040154

Sorry. I didn't take the time to actually look at the files themselves. Since they are in a .reg format I can look for existing apis or .net helpers. I'm going to look at Registry Key Objects for a start...

    Auto startup error 80040154

Is there a file layout for the export settings for individual cameras? Camera settings -> General Tab? I'd like to read (via c#) through them (for all my cameras) and build XML or CSV files. Then I can import to something like excel and line up the camera parms side by side to verify that all...

Wanscam HW0041-2 Two Way Audio Alarm 2 Megapixel 1080P IP Camera

I don't think Wanscam is supporting their cams anymore. I have two hw0045 ptz cams. They look great and worked well for a brief time. One lost the IR sets in 3 months. The other a year later. One cam stopped panning and would only tilt. I was able to open it and plug the wire connector back in...

Blue Iris app will not connect but will via browser

An update to my situation where I was able to connect to camera via provided client and IE but not BI. My big mistake! I had two devices with the same IP address! I didn't see any conflict type message. I found out by using BI -> video tab. Just to the left of the "Configure" button is an active...

Blue Iris app will not connect but will via browser

I had similar problem. I added a new camera and it worked fine for several days and then stopped. The provided browser client worked. I tried several things like restarting BI, manually rebooting the camera, etc. I could see that the IP address was active via the Verizon router. I deleted and...

    BI Memory Utilization

Thanks drunkpenquin! I have 7 cams now and looking to add a few more. Plus I will replace my older ones with newer models that take up more bandwidth.

    BI Memory Utilization

That's why I'm interested in better understanding how BI uses memory. I'm willing to buy more memory if it is used. But why buy 16GB or 32GB if it will only use 8GB? I think I will go to around 12 cams.

    BI Memory Utilization

I have 7 cams: 1 Reolink RLC-423WS, 5 Reolink RLC-411WS, 1 Reolink RLC-410WS. All are dual band and I run at 5G. FPS = 15; bitrate - 2048k, and h264 is on. Old PC: i3-3227 (1.90 GHz), 6GB memory, HD: 512GB Want to replace with newer PC. I have been watching those threads.
