Caught this big boy on my front camera yesterday morning at 4:30 am. I think he was going after bugs near the porch light.

    Where to purchase ColorVu cameras?

I've bought everything from B&H over the years, but stock is low due to the chip shortage - so I've been told.

Is ColorVu any decent or more of a gimmick?

I've done live walk around with both cameras and I was very pleased with the ColorVu. I'll see if I can get a video of that camera as soon as I can. Unfortunately I did not keep any walk around videos from the old camera.

Is ColorVu any decent or more of a gimmick?

Here are two pictures taken 24 hours apart at midnight. The first picture is a Hikvision DS-2CD2355FWD 5MP. The second pic is a Hikvision ColorVu DS-2CD2347G1-L 4MP. No, it's not a gimmick.

Netgear router as access point has marginal bandwidth

Well, some of you guys called it right away. The cable end upstairs at the switch somehow went bad despite working for the last 2/12 years just fine. I did the hardwire test from my laptop to the switch, and had the same crappy speeds. Then I plugged in the cable bringing internet from...

Netgear router as access point has marginal bandwidth

There are no lights on the back near the connections. There are, however, lights on the front that indicate whether it has a WAN connection, whether the 2.4 and 5.0 wireless channels are working, etc. But those lights are white - I've never seen green or orange. Because they're so cheap I went...

Netgear router as access point has marginal bandwidth

Thanks for everything so far. I'll rerun the hardwired speed tests on the home router, switch, and garage router and report back.

Netgear router as access point has marginal bandwidth

There are no lights on the Netgear ports. The speeds reported for the garage router are with it hardwired into the laptop. Yes, only 100mb-ish when hardwired into the upstairs switch. No colors on the Netgear switch unfortunately. Here is the model I bought...

Thank you for sticking with me, 8963. Really appreciate it. I'll look into the firmware problem.

Netgear router as access point has marginal bandwidth

On another note - why is it that I can do a hardwired speed test on my downstairs R7800 and it has great speeds. Then when I do a hardwired speedtest on the switch upstairs, connected via a Cat6 cable, it's terrible. 1/10 the speed. Cable problem maybe?

Netgear router as access point has marginal bandwidth

I did this setup because I could not get any reliable wifi from the house into the garage - too many walls/doors so it was slow. That's why I ran a Cat6 to the garage and connected another R7800 for wifi when I'm in there working on shit. Yes, I did connect the AT&T modem to the WAN port on the...

Netgear router as access point has marginal bandwidth

Biggen - thanks for the response. Here's what I found in response to your questions: Garage router: 2.4 band, auto channel. 5.0 band, channel 153. 5g speed test, 93 down, 8 up. Wired to the garage router, 92 down, 86 up. Home router: 2.4 band, channel 11. 166 down, 180 up. 5.0 band, channel...

Netgear router as access point has marginal bandwidth

I've got AT&T fiber to my house which gives me approximately 500mb up/down when checked through a wireless connection on my laptop or phone. The gateway's wifi has been turned off, and I have a decent little Netgear router behind it handling my wireless (R7800). From that R7800, I have one Cat6...

Find the thief - Hikvision log attached

There's a series of illegal login attempts towards the end of the log. Strange there's no associated IP address with those attempts - they certainly show up in my logs. No idea if these attempts mean anything.

Review of the Hikvision OEM model IPC-T2347G-LU 'ColorVu' IP CCTV camera.

I did that and it is triggering on line/intrusion, but it's just a short series of flashes. Is there a way to have the lights turn on steady, for a user-defined period of time? Thanks for sticking with me so far...

Review of the Hikvision OEM model IPC-T2347G-LU 'ColorVu' IP CCTV camera.

I did the reset as suggested and the options are back. See below. Here's the behavior I am seeing from this option - if the room is lit up, the LED's stay out during the scheduled time frame. If the room is dark, the LED's stay on all the time. I'd hoped that triggering line crossing/intrusion...

Review of the Hikvision OEM model IPC-T2347G-LU 'ColorVu' IP CCTV camera.

Apologies for being a pain, but under Config, Upgrade/Maintenance there are options for Restore or Default. Or are you guys referring to a hard reset by powering off, pressing the button under the SD card cover and powering on?

Review of the Hikvision OEM model IPC-T2347G-LU 'ColorVu' IP CCTV camera.

I did not do a factory reset - I assumed that would wipe the new firmware and revert back to what it was shipped with. I will try the browser cache - thanks.

Review of the Hikvision OEM model IPC-T2347G-LU 'ColorVu' IP CCTV camera.

I've got the same problem as a guy earlier in this thread. When I load that firmware it shows event-based LED that allows me to set a time period. After logging out, the very next time I log in there is no "triggered by event" and the "LED on" radio button is greyed out and cannot be chosen. If...

Review of the Hikvision OEM model IPC-T2347G-LU 'ColorVu' IP CCTV camera.

@alastairstevenson - weird problem on a new 2347 I installed today. I updated firmware to Version 5.65, Build 200316. There is no "triggered by event" available anywhere that I can see. Any idea why that would be?

Tuff Shed - anyone got one?

I've had an 8x10 for ten years and it's great. No issues whatsoever. I think it was a Lowes purchase, but maybe HD. The floor, walls, and roof panels are all preassembled. The workers come in, set the blocks on the ground and level them, then in just a few hours the whole thing is together. You...
