Hey, as i have a person in Hik - i will tell you why they block upgrades. HIK is copied in China using REv Eng. They copy hardware and then use original firmware. Be honest - writing software now is more cash-need than making a hardware. So to stop copying ( i know it sounds dumb - China copies... -

You mean PTZ 2DF 5284? 2DF is a different firmware than 2CD or 2DE Value series. Dont upgrade it or you will loose SSH access. In 5.3.0 there is a trick to overcome PSH but later this hole was fixed. If you dont need to update - dont do it. -

It cannot be avoided. The only way is to flash FW via NAND reader and i did that. Worked. No RSA means no upgrade package to DOWNGRADE offcial camera into something else. New firmware will check the signature of uploaded file and resign to flash it if it is not signed via proper RSA private key... -

There is just one think that now we can do. Stop buying chineese models because it's not worth the rish of damaging camera. Still no clue about RSA key so new 2335 cams with 5.3.5 has only China lang and there is no way to switch it. -

Hacked? 5.3.5 is hard.... Got NAND dump of flash. Unpacked, extracted, got RSA key to decrypt and got all files in readable form. But now we have: - Bootloader must be signed (new version inside) - to be able to flash Uboot update (i mean downgrade bootloader) - no way - FIrmware is enrypted... -

Yep, looks the same. From dealer i paid for demo unit 1029 USD + 329 USD for lenses. AFAIR it is not on the market yet. Just demo. - - - Updated - - - Yes, mine. Installed it. Soon i will install 4065 model with 1/1.8 6 Mpix and will give You info. -
