    for what its worth, i have a hik dome with a 2.8mm lens on it in an inside corner (maybe 85degrees?), and it doesn't quite cover a full 90degrees, and as others mention, you loose detail at any distance with such a wide lens.

    if you have pro you can tell it to notify on updates instead of downloading and restarting through the group policy or registry edit. if you on home or pro, you can tell it that it can't download updates over a metered connection, then tell it your connection is metered.

    in blueiris there is an option to do a quite/minimized startup, try that, dont know if it works with teh task scheduler. there is an option in the task scheduler to startup minimized. play with the two options and see what works.

    could always use a virtual machine. id rather not have the questionable plugin's being loaded into my main computer and use a virtual machine that has all the obscure, and not necessary stable software in it. older versions of ie seem to work better with things such as netsurveillance anyway.

    i get just a blip, enough for blueiris to register a lost connection, happens 10 or so times a day. just using the default settings on the camera and in blue iris. any suggestions? bought the cameras in spring and haven't done any firmware updates since.
