DS-2CD3132-I No Sub Stream Option on DS-7104N-SN/P NVR?

I'm not too familiar with the 7100 series. I'm guessing theres no virtual host option?

DS-2CD3132-I No Sub Stream Option on DS-7104N-SN/P NVR?

That doesn't sound good. I'm not sure if the POE ports on the NVRs are 802.3af compliant or they're just dumb and apply the full 48v all the time. Although I'd never plug a non POE device into em. It does seem that the issue is with the NVR. Id like for you to check to see if a stream is...

DS-2CD3132-I No Sub Stream Option on DS-7104N-SN/P NVR?

Refer to this thread for VLC: http://www.ipcamtalk.com/showthread.php/5773-How-to-access-the-video-streams-of-a-camera-or-NVR The NVR settings for the camera are severely limited. To see every option you would have to change it via the cameras actual interface. Keep in mind if you change a...

2132F-IS refuses to be discovered if connected to POE, connecting to 12V power works

Re: 2132F-IS refuses to be discovered if connected to POE, connecting to 12V power wo That's the beauty of SADP otherwise it'd be fairly pointless. If it's on the same subnet there wouldn't be an issue in seeing it in the first place. Unless you don't know the IP address. The longer cable is...

    Help - new install issues

Did you use proper CAT 6 RJ45 connectors made to be crimped on solid core cables? Many issues I see and hear about usually ed up being poor termination. Either wired incorrectly, poorly crimped, using wrong connectors, low quality connectors, crappy crimpers and etc. Too bad most of us cant...

DS-2CD3132-I No Sub Stream Option on DS-7104N-SN/P NVR?

Have you tried viewing the substream in iVMS-4500 or in VLC? For the 60hz setting, it should be under Basic config - Image - Video adjustment. Keep in mind if you have exterior lighting visible you may get flickering so in that case match the frequency of the power to this setting.

I just believe that having screenshots would show us what kind of picture you are getting now as a reference point.

Fixed Position IP Camera for Sports

If it has to be a zoom you control that would make it a bit more difficult and expensive. If you just want a camera that has a fixed focal length that would be easier. You would however have to determine what focal length you need, unless you get a vari-focal camera again more expensive than a...

Fixed Position IP Camera for Sports

When you say zoom you mean an optical zoom? I guess you won't need much of a zoom if its 4.2m up.

How to access the video streams of a camera or NVR?

That's odd. I have the same password for both as well and I just need to enter the username and password once. However, at the same time. I do believe we should only need to enter the credentials for the NVR as that is what we are accessing. The camera at this point should not be in the equation.

How to access the video streams of a camera or NVR?

Is your NVR password different to the camera password? I didn't know you could open RTSP in a browser without using a plugin or like realplayer and etc.

want a fake security camera that looks real

^True. I mean't it more as don't get it to make you feel better sort of thing. Real cameras won't stop any burglar, attacker, and etc either. However, it can provide evidence after the fact. As well as allow you to monitor your home, and be notified if there was movement and etc for you to...

How to access the video streams of a camera or NVR?

I just found out how to do it. Basically for VLC its: rtsp://NVR-IP-ADDRESS/Streaming/Channels/101 The 101 at the end means: x01 - where x equals channel number 1xx - where xx equals 01 is Main Stream and 02 is Substream e.g. rtsp://192.168.0.253/Streaming/Channels/101 - Channel 1 Main...

    Front porch camera recommendation needed

Price doesn't mean everything, it could be more expensive for a variety of reasons. However, the mini dome when tested by NetworkCameraCritic, he did say the night vision was better for some reason. He could see the other side of the street better. The inbuilt IR leds though are crap, that...

How to access the video streams of a camera or NVR?

I don't believe you are able to view the stream directly off the camera if it's on the NVRs POE ports. I have the same question regarding viewing the NVR on VLC, I have a feeling it doesn't work as it doesn't know which stream to show.

Enterprise software other than BI recommended?

Anyways, I'm not sure how often the Blue Iris list is updated, and not sure if they test every camera available especially if it is a new offering. The two most common best value brands would be Hikvision and Dahua, there are sub-sections in the IP Camera are where you can find many threads on...

Enterprise software other than BI recommended?

If my eyes are not deceiving me the TV-IP310PI looks like a rebranded Hikvision 2032 probably with crappy firmware. Wonder how much they cost compared to the Hikvision stuff. They basically have a different model for almost everything, different types, resolutions, and etc

DS-2CD2432F-IW integrated PIR + NVR not working

I wish Hikvision would include all the local options/features into the webGUI and elsewhere ie iVMS-4500. One of the things I'd really like is having events show ontop of continuous recording in the webGUI/iVMS-4500. Theres probably more options that aren't available on the webGUI that is...

Good point. POE Switches are expensive here too. The only place it doesn't seem that expensive is the US. The only value you can really get is buying used switches. All the sellers I was looking at when buying my NVR all had POE models. So no option for non-POE (Didn't even know they existed...
