How many cameras at Location B? Your limitation will probably be upload bandwidth at the second location. I have a similar situation. I use Unifi VPN to bridge the two sites. My UPS Caught Fire Last Night
Yeah I'm convinced now. I suppose what is alarming to me is I've trusted this as a piece of infrastructure rather than an cheap appliance. I wouldn't expect my breaker box to burn the house down, nor my electric meter. But a cheap microwave or toaster oven? Yeah. I'm getting rid of the UPS. But...- Hetticles

My UPS Caught Fire Last Night
What to do? Build a concrete box to contain it? I have a setup where the power "blips" numerous times during big storms (~2-3 per year). If it was off for a few minutes I'd be fine, but repeated blips seem to cause things to hang.- Hetticles

No you do not need a router. You do not need a second network card or a isolated switch. You can actually assign one physical interface (your ethernet connection) multiple IP addresses, so long as they are statically assigned (not DHCP).
