New Reolink Wired POE Doorbell Cam ?

The only thing I don't like about it is the fisheye image, but it is what it is. It does what I need it to do.

New Reolink Wired POE Doorbell Cam ?

I installed the ReoLink doorbell today using the existing 18v connections and WiFi. It has worked as it should thus far and is integrated with Blue Iris. Thanks for the recommendation.

    Not too bad MS:

Wow... what a difference that made. Still get the front of the barn and the Jeep parking.

But then I get too much roof, unless I zoom in.

    PTZ5A4K-25X and IPC-Color4K-T180 settings...

Yeah... I found out when I moved the other one to that same area, it got darker too. Odd that I didn't have this issue in the daytime when mounted lower.

Exact same settings on both cameras. Is the one darker because of it pointing towards the sun?

OTOH... our little ZE-S3 for the carport is pretty good so far.

    PTZ5A4K-25X and IPC-Color4K-T180 settings...

Okay... not so good thus far. This PTZ will likely only be good for day use. Maybe the 4MP unit I am getting for the barn to look back at the house will be better for night. https://snapbug.cc/PTZ-25X/Barn15.20240813_210255.mp4

    PTZ5A4K-25X and IPC-Color4K-T180 settings...

I haven't tested it yet, but I will shortly. I can raise it up above the roof line, or at least get most of it out of the way. I can't see anything over to the left anyway for the tree.

Got a good shot of the barn at least.

    PTZ5A4K-25X and IPC-Color4K-T180 settings...

I'm not sure I have a lot of options short of installing a pole somewhere. I want to keep an eye on the storage buildings and shop... as well as the driveway coming into the house. I ordered the PTZ 4MP 25X to mount the metal barn and look back at the house (yellow circle). It will be about...

    PTZ5A4K-25X and IPC-Color4K-T180 settings...

I'll adjust the settings tonight and see what I can come up with. This particular camera will mainly be operating within about a 50ft range. The other one just like it, will be reaching out to about 125ft. Day settings on both seem to be fine for pretty much all areas... but night indeed...

Looks like I'll need to make some other adjustments... still getting blur and wash out with Zoom Priority and the current settings.

    PTZ5A4K-25X and IPC-Color4K-T180 settings...

That person was my brother. What was odd is that when I tested it by walking around out there, it did not do this... it looked pretty good with the settings I had. I'm not sure what triggered this particular instance. I have Illuminator set to Auto, so I changed it to Zoom Priority, and I'll...

    PTZ5A4K-25X and IPC-Color4K-T180 settings...

The first pic is from the 25X. What settings would cause this white out of an individual... obviously no way to identify anyone that looks like this. The second pic is from the T180. He is about 30' from the camera, and I've zoomed it in. Curious what settings would improve ability to identify.

    Detecting wildlife with Dahua cameras

So Andy does not sell a camera now that will detect wildlife? I'm simply looking to improve on my Moultrie Edge mobile camera. It gives me still shots and 15 second video clips. I don't really care about the still shots... mainly want video. I have a light pole about 75 feet from the feeder...

    What camera for this location?

Oh... you're not talking about the $2K+ unit.

    What camera for this location?

I am going with the 25x. I already have a 45x at the beginning of the driveway. I really don't want to spend that kind of money on another camera.

You referring to this one: IPC-B54IR-ZE-S3

    What camera for this location?

So better to go with the PTZ5A4M-25X and get a spotter camera. I really don't need 180° at that location. An eyeball to the right across the doors and whatever angle it views from the doors to the left is sufficient.

    Rekor Scout and Tailscale

Our PTZ picked up this car going by, but no alert for the LPR camera. I looked at the LPR and it captured the plate when I freezed the frame. The second photo is what Plate Recognizer captured... a bit too soon for the plate. OTOH... Rekor did not capture anything. I guess I can at least know...
