Thanks for the info. Yeah, what's up with the look of the ZE? The black would standout too much on my white soffit. I was thinking the ZS because it whiter and would blend in better. Was going to try to get license plates with this one, so I guess I should go with the ZE but those colors... -

POE - Power/Data to Dahua while also charging tablet
Trying to power my Dahua camera through POE but also tap off that power to charge a tablet. Are there any splitters that tap off the power versus split the data and power? I was looking at the item below but it looks like it just splits when I need to power two devices...- Dseg42

Running ethernet cable outside
Trying to put my license plate cameras in my mailbox. Was wondering the best way to get the cable outside to the mailbox. I was thinking I could use basic Cat6 and run it through a PVC pipe under the front lawn to the mailbox. But I didn't know what would happen if that pipe got water in it...- Dseg42

New Dahua camera has 30s delay on Blue Iris
I updated Intel display drivers to 24.20.100.6194 have not had any issues yet. It takes a few hours for the delay to happen but it just went about 20 hours. Going to restart everything and see if everything is still good. If not, I plan on changing the IP address, updating the camera firmware... -

I will try this today. Unfortanteuly it takes a few hours for the 30 second delay to happen. If I restart BI, the stream is live, after some time, it picks up this delay. I already tried different cables. I just updated my Intel display drivers. I had older ones due to the memory leak but... -

I deleted the camera and added it back with it BI finding the camera, same problem I also tested with a stream in vlc. The stream in vlc has about a 2second delay vs the BI's 30 second delay. The browser only has a .5s delay. I also found tha the timestamp through BI on the camera is usually... -

Nothing seems to have worked yet. I tried lower the FPS and changing the camera model in BI. I also found that if I walk in front of the camera, it is delayed on BI but it is also in slow motion sometimes. So weird.. -

Maybe I don't. I thought it was always nice to have if you have the resources plus the cars go flying down my street. I'l try changing my FPS but I would wonder my other camera at 50fps has no issues. -

I have both cameras at 50fps because they are LPRs and I need the high fps. My other camera at 50fps has no lag, I’ve had that setup for about 2yrs. They only record on motion. -

Just purchased a IPC-HFW5231E-Z12E from Andy and after a few hours, Blue Iris will have about a 30 second delay on the live feed. If I restart Blue Iris, the camera becomes live again but after a while the camera regains a big lag. Even though the feed is lagging significantly on Blue Iris... -

I just figured restarting BI would solve any record times or profile issues since it was restarting the whole program. That was frustrating. Thanks for the help. -

Got it. For some reason I had to mess around with the Profiles. I disabled/stopped them, enabled, then everything started recording in the correct places... Thanks for you help Tinman -

Making a new camera actually worked and it recorded to a new hard drive... So I need to remake all my cameras? lol But if I try to change the recording folder of that "new" camera to the 3rd drive. Doesn't work, stays on the 2nd new drive. So it has the same problem all my other cameras have... -

What is the best turret style Dahua LPR?
Currently using a IPC-HFW5231E-Z12 to captured license plates, works great. I need to get capture plates going the opposite way down the street now. Putting up a big bullet style camera in the location I need to isn't ideal. Was wondering if there were any turret style cameras that have great zoom. -
