This is a common occurrence now. I've tested several combinations and have got bits and pieces to work but its becoming hard on MacOS. With the latest MacOS Mojave coming later this year - none of it works. I have to use a Windows machine to change configuration but then again don't have to do... -

I’ll try and contact them as yes I agree any notifications seem to want a care plan which is crazy. I installed the entire system and configured it. Not bad - especially for what it offers and 8 cameras in the “free” tier but 0 notifications!- jiriteach

Tried this yesterday and it didn't work. Pretty confident that the mobile app (iDMSS) is the issue. Have extensively tested a combination of options starting from basics etc. Nothing seems to work. #sigh -
