Safe to run Cat6 Ethernet through same hole as AC Power?

Appreciate all the helpful information. Getting another hole drilled today and will route the cable about 2ft away from the power line. There will be a brief 90* cross over but no running in parallel. From what I've read a 90* (i.e. not parallel) cross over should not affect anything.

Safe to run Cat6 Ethernet through same hole as AC Power?

Hi there - I am having a small office built which will have 120v & 240V power and Cat 6 ethernet supplied to the office. I want to run two lines, if not up to four lines to the office. I will have a couple holes punched through the wall prior to sheetrocking and siding which will supply Cat6...

Anyone have hands on experience with the 4k 1" sensor Sony SNC-VM772R IP Cam?

So I looked at another thread and there were some pictures of the back of the camera and it looks like the analog BNC connection is the output - I suppose for monitoring without a computer. I am curious if Blue Iris supports the IPC-HF8835F Compared to those other box cameras the 8835 has a...

Anyone have hands on experience with the 4k 1" sensor Sony SNC-VM772R IP Cam?

The spec sheet says power via PoE but video via BNC port. Your attitude suggests that you are very certain. Can you please link me to the spec sheet?

Anyone have hands on experience with the 4k 1" sensor Sony SNC-VM772R IP Cam?

Yeah I think I'll keep looking. I'm not super impressed by the low light performance of the HFW1831E or 2831 versus, say the HDW5231. I'm looking for 4k with superior low light performance to the HDW5231 and neither the 1831 or 2831 deliver. EDIT: looking at this

Anyone have hands on experience with the 4k 1" sensor Sony SNC-VM772R IP Cam?

Good point. I think the varifocal would be worth the difference in price. I suppose a decent complement to the HDW5231. But unfortunately I want both 4k and exceptional low light and there doesn't seem to be a whole lot of choices out there. Currently researching the Samsung/Hanwha Techwin...

Anyone have hands on experience with the 4k 1" sensor Sony SNC-VM772R IP Cam?

Thanks for the clarification. The Dahua HFW1831E would just about get me there in terms of low light and for the price I'd pick one up 6 or so but I really have my heart set on turret. I had two 4k domes outside (small sensors, sh***y low light performance) and it was nothing but glare and bugs...

Anyone have hands on experience with the 4k 1" sensor Sony SNC-VM772R IP Cam?

Well shoot - after researching I see that it is not IP - it's HD-CVI which isn't something I'm really interested in. What a bummer. I wonder if the government ban on certain Chinese cameras is affecting availablility of the Dahua 8mp starlight. I am going to look more at the Samsung 1/1.7"...

Anyone have hands on experience with the 4k 1" sensor Sony SNC-VM772R IP Cam?

Hey thanks for the links. I looked at Amazon, AliExpress and B&H and they are all unavailable. This actually opens up my interest into other 4/3" sensor cameras. I wonder if these lenses, boxes, and sensors are interchangeable (i.e. build one yourself). About to go down another...

Anyone have hands on experience with the 4k 1" sensor Sony SNC-VM772R IP Cam?

I am curious if anyone has used this camera or a camera with this sensor. From the specs I would assume low light performance would be in a class its own especially with a 1" sensor. Would be nice if this sensor made its way to Hik or Dahua. I am looking at 4k low light and I don't see anything...

    Amcrest UltraHD 4K (8MP) Review

Amazon link says it uses the Sony Starvis 1/2.5” 8MP sensor so I am guessing the night vision is similar to other teeny sensor 4k cameras (i.e. poor)

    NEW 1080P Wifi Video Doorbell!

Okay going to give it one last try with the resistor. Soldered up a quick connect so I can minimize my exposure to 15 degree weather and for convenience:

    NEW 1080P Wifi Video Doorbell!

You can see in the video below that the button blinks red for a hair over a minute, then the red light holds stead for a few seconds, door bell rings, light stays off completely for a few seconds, then goes back to flashing. Rinse and repeat. Did anyone else catch the little red dot just below...

    NEW 1080P Wifi Video Doorbell!

Tested again today. Decided instead of permanent soldering I'd solder on some quick connects in case the wifi doorbell continues to malfunction. Good thing because the doorbell still doesn't work. I took a 4 minute video showing 3 loops and a couple attempts to reboot to no avail. I'll post the...

    NEW 1080P Wifi Video Doorbell!

Okay I definitely did NOT hold it for 20-30 seconds. Hopefully that will do the trick. I probably won't be able to mess with it until this Saturday. I'll have to double check return window b/c I don't want to get stuck with this if it's defective. Thanks for your help!

    NEW 1080P Wifi Video Doorbell!

Hi there - I followed the quick start guide line by line. I held the button on the side for various amounts of time up to 15 seconds but I never heard the doorbell say anything. I had to take the doorbell off because it was constantly ringing and driving people nuts in the house. I wonder if...

    NEW 1080P Wifi Video Doorbell!

Just tried to install this camera today and can't get it to work so perhaps someone here will be able to help out. 1. Biggest problem right now is it keeps ringing the doorbell over and over. I didn't time it but I would say every 60 seconds it rings. 2. The red light keeps flashing (no blue...
