empiretech where to buy?
I have bought from empiretech on amazon and aliexpress and now there is a empiretech01.com Has anyone bought from empiretech01.com? If so is it shipping from overseas? It has a PA address. Not sure where to ask this question. :) -

The barn is about 200 feet away and the garage is 100 feet. It will be longer if you where to run cables. The only issue really is the POE switches in the barn and garage are exposed to extreme heat and cold and he left TP-Link poe switches all my stuff is ubiquiti and as far as i know ubiquiti...- cmx

The doted lines represents a single CAT5E cable in the ground. This is how the previous owner had cables ran. I would like to remove the two poe switches that are located at the barn and garage and just run 4 CAT6 cables back to the house from each building so there is only one POE switch...- cmx

BI live screen lags but reordering's do not?
I turned on Hardware accelerated decode intel issue is now gone. Not sure how that works and if it's different than intel quick sync. My BI pc does not have a dedicated gpu only the built in intel.- cmx

yes you need to protect yourself! I started with the Vantrue E1 but soon realized i needed a rear cam to for the tailgaters. I have been rear-ended before and the girls excuse was.........i have no breaks. -

ok so you guys see the seconds how they jitter or jump? The live video feed does the same on every camera not just one. Wireless and hardwired most all mine are hardwired. I would be surprised if it's the network itself, i use all ubiquiti gear. I would be more likely to blame windows 11 or a...- cmx

BI live screen lags but reordering's do not?
I take that back the clock does lag to. I am assuming the BI gets the time from my PC, i have never set anything for it. It's easy to see the lag if you watch someone walk they take two steps then there is a slight pause and it just re-peats. And the recorded video will have no lag. Watch the sec.- cmx

No the clock does not stop, i7-14700K CPU is only at 10% 32GB of RAM 6GB only being used. Using the newest BI version. Also using a 10GIG NIC card and 10 GIG switch.- cmx

BI live screen lags but reordering's do not?
When i watch someone walk on the live video in BI desktop app there is a 1.5 sec lag or so but on the recording of the event there is no lag. What is going on here? By lag i mean someone takes 4 steps then there is a sec or two lag.- cmx

New house, new network setup advice.
For most a VLAN is probably more simple, For me the issue is i have multiple buildings varying in feet away from the house. For example. In the barn there is 6 cameras and a POE switch and only one cable coming back to the switch in the house. The original owner did every building this way...- cmx

I use IOT devices and most of them you can't isolate or they will not work as you said. I am not sure how a IP camera can get a virus, malware etc if it has no way to connect to the internet. Unless you flashed some infected firmware to it but even then any info it collects can not be sent as...- cmx

I will be using a ubiquiti dream machine se and 15 IP cameras with BI. In the past i always used a VLAN but i wonder if it is even necessary as i have multiple poe switches and it gets to be a lot to deal with remembering what port the cameras poe switch is using over multiple buildings.
