Sweet! LTS is releasing an ONVIF compatible doorbell with SD card slot and 940nm IR

I discussed the MD and Dahua DVR issue with tech support where I purchased my Dahua re-brand from. What they told me is that the DVR support for MD would depend on what part(s) of the ONVIF protocol the doorbell supported. @TechBill - to clarify, in addition to not being able to do MD in the...

Sweet! LTS is releasing an ONVIF compatible doorbell with SD card slot and 940nm IR

@Ehab Saad - I would assume that the Restore All option in the web interface is the same as pressing & holding the button on the device, although I say that I've proven that. On your cars driving by, FWIW I had to take out an additional row of boxes in the sensitivity screen before cars...

Sweet! LTS is releasing an ONVIF compatible doorbell with SD card slot and 940nm IR

Having read all I could find on the DB1 over the last couple of weeks, I don't think there is a published change log. The only thing I've heard mentioned anywhere is that when you don't respond to a doorbell press, the DB1 will no longer say anything. The button just blinks for a while, and...

Sweet! LTS is releasing an ONVIF compatible doorbell with SD card slot and 940nm IR

Thanks. That does clarify a few things, especially on the reset/reboot. So far in my recent round, the doorbell only went offline once after an intentional power reconfigure, and a reboot through the web portal and a delete/add at the hik-connect URL someone gave earlier (not any app) was all...

Sweet! LTS is releasing an ONVIF compatible doorbell with SD card slot and 940nm IR

Can you clarify a few things? Am I correct to interpret your references to Hikconnect to mean RCA Security app as your preferred flavor of Hikconnect? I noticed it hasn't been updated as recently as all the others. I wonder if that's part of why it might be better for some. Do you know how it...

Sweet! LTS is releasing an ONVIF compatible doorbell with SD card slot and 940nm IR

FWIW, the Nelly's Security firmware downloads page has firmware from 171201, 171218, 180505, and 180726 available. Select the camera type, NSC brand, and then model NSC-DB1. Edit: Maybe not the EXACT date stamps you're looking for, but my belief is all in the same general timeframe are actually...

Sweet! LTS is releasing an ONVIF compatible doorbell with SD card slot and 940nm IR

Thought I'd mention that the same "old" version is available through Nelly's Security as their NSC-DB1. Mine was received without any branding on it. AFAIK, the online "quick start" guide Nelly's provides for the doorbell is second to none, and support from Nelly's has been great for me. They...

Sweet! LTS is releasing an ONVIF compatible doorbell with SD card slot and 940nm IR

On initial setup, I rambo'd through a lot as far as setting up the NVR (I believe it's a rebranded Dahua N42B2) and the cameras it came with, multiple apps for the NVR on multiple PCs and phones, the NSC-DB1 doorbell, and multiple apps for the doorbell on my PC and on multiple phones. What I...

Sweet! LTS is releasing an ONVIF compatible doorbell with SD card slot and 940nm IR

I sort of hate adding another post to what is already a brain-buster of a thread, but thanks to all who have posted about how to work with the HikVision doorbells. I've been futzing with a Nelly's NSC-DB1 for a week or so, and have been struggling to decide whether it's worth the trouble...

    NEW 1080P Wifi Video Doorbell!

@Sean Nelson thanks for the reply. Rather than describing the nook in words, I put together a visio drawing that shows the approximate dimensions - see the "install" attachment. If I could be convinced the issue is the nook or my mounting location, I could live with it. The wedge is what, 15...

    NEW 1080P Wifi Video Doorbell!

Here's a sample daylight picture. This seems to show a "grayness" on the rock wall that lines up with the aberration seen in the dark. EDIT: This grayness is always there - not just at the particular time of day where some might say it is light glare from the sunlight.

    NEW 1080P Wifi Video Doorbell!

@awsum140 - I had already tried both turning off the porch light AND adding a temporary shield over the doorbell button. Neither made any difference.

    NEW 1080P Wifi Video Doorbell!

Back with a question, perhaps for @Sean Nelson or @RyanODan. What is the white aberration near the center of the screen? I've read how there can be a concern with IR reflections from the lens on these doorbells, but I don't see anything like this in nighttime images anyone else has posted...

    NEW 1080P Wifi Video Doorbell!

Registered in order to say thank you for helpful information in this thread. I had upgraded the firmware to the latest as part of my pre-install bench testing, and I was frustrated in that the motion detection didn't seem to be working - only the doorbell ring notification was working...
