The better question is why all vendors supply the power inlet with no waterproof caps. Most of the users are NOT using the power inlet, the ethernet cable comes with a waterproof cap but the power that is not in use at all in most cases comes without a cap to seal it. -

told you: the number of FR channels and bandwidth for sure since I never tried the 4208, I wouldn't know if there are also missing features. If you need a usable FR function, none of them is what you're looking for. at least, not now. The FW is capable but the bad SW makes it useless. -

Thank you @looney2ns Guess it's the E-ZE I'll try that. Didn't even think about it cause I've got 4 of those cams and all were acting the same. The 4 cams T-ZE all showed the smart IR so I didn't suspect it needs reset.- ArnonZ

I do know and did know that it's limited in angle, range, light and in general, it takes a good face capture to be able to do the recognition. As I was saying before, the FR had to be combined with SMD and/or IVS. Normally, there is no point to suggesting a working setup. What was found perfect for that cam would not necessarily work for my other cams, let alone for you. That most problematic cam preformed better not set on manual but on shutter priority, customized range. -

it's not as if the bullets are doing great though the settings does not fit the eyeball cams. I'm using those cams together with B5442E-ZE (the bullet) and I can tell you that the bullets are triggering cats and dogs (especially on IR light) as SMD events. -

what backlight do you use? I found out last night that one of my IPC triggers in the dark and another one doesn't. The first was using WDR and the second was using BLC. I'm not sure if it's got something to do with it, but I'll try to set them both to use WDR and see if it makes the difference. -

Thanks wasabi, forgot to change all cams to the same settings: Currently trying all 8 IPC on 4MP resolution, 15FPS, 2048Kb/S for the main stream. b/r type CBR and compression H.265 currently for all cams. I'd try that and change if needed. -

That FW keeps identifying our family dog as human on SMD The IVS keeps getting human intrusions from him. And the face recognition always finds him to be confused. Personally, I tend to believe that the one confused here is the IPC and my dog didn't turn to be human after all. -

Thanks, My ISP gives a poor upload of 5 Mbps but I was actually talking about the stream when using from inside my LAN.... All of those halts and slow motion, lagging etc. I get while connected to my 1 Gbps LAN.
