    Mike are you running 4 cameras on it?. That is where problems seem to occur with these cheaper switches it seems. i.e. power rating turns out not to be able to handle what is actually listed.

    Having never tested a separate illuminator can anyone tell me: Can you position a illuminator anywhere, ie 20ft away from the camera - so long as its light is pointing into the cameras field of view? or are they designed to go next to the camera?

    i have never used a sd card in a ip camera, but it could be useful. ive always used ftp. how do you get around them filling up?

    I can't decide. The DS-2CD2132-I is cheaper than the DS-2CD2132-I - $125 vs DS-2CD2532F-I - $185 and better specwise ie 3 times the ir distance so logic says go with the DS-2CD2132-I. But...the DS-2CD2532F-I looks to be really small in size thus less intrusive/ideal for a home installation...

    From what i can tell the only difference is size and ir range. Does anyone happen to own both cameras they can photo side by side?. I am trying to get a feel for the true size difference
