These are Chinese market cameras. There may be an inconsistency with the exchange of settings from the NVR to the camera. I think the Cliff Notes document may assist with information about accessing the camera interface directly, however you may need a power supply for the camera as I understand...- Barboots

Bear in mind that audio is technically illegal here down under anyway. I submitted some raw (DAV) footage to the PoPo recently and it's going to court. I forgot that one of the feeds has audio. Fortunately the perp doesn't speak! I think it'll slip through to the keeper [emoji6] I expect... -

In the Dahua menu you can find out the "incoming bandwidth" of your camera feeds. It will be helpful information, along with the specific model of NVR. Another factor is the processing power of the computer you're using SmartPSS on... it can load up even a decent system. Lastly, is your network...- Barboots

I'd revisit the disk recovery process then. I can't believe that the NVR was saving the recorded streams as Shockwave Flash. Have you tried opening the recovered files with the Dahua DAV player? Cheers, Steve- Barboots

Crap. Bought wrong switch... will it matter?

Dahua SD49225T-HN suggestions for mic connection
Is the impedance and sensitivity compatible between the devices? A "powered mic" does not necessarily output "line level", which I have a suspicion the camera will be expecting. If you post the datasheets and/or specifications it would assist in assisting you. Cheers, Steve -

Email alerts using Gmail remains broken on NVR4208-8P-4kS2, so you will need to use another provider. I am successfully using Yahoo, but I have read of someone having problems with this option. So... in the context of Dahua HDCVI... once programmed, the camera will retain these settings irrespective of power cycling and long periods powered down? If so I could probably have the supplier switch it to mirrored. Cheers, Steve- Barboots

Yep sure... if spurious noise was an issue, I'd grab something to filter it or dig around my electronics boxes for something. However aside from using a DC-DC converter, the voltage is still going range around a bit. Perhaps I shouldn't have closed with the term "unfiltered". Many thanks, Steve- Barboots
