Need to power POE Cam and Illuminator off one POE run, possible?

http://tyconsystems.com/documentation/Spec%20Sheets/POE-SPLT-48xxG-P%20Active%20Splitter%20Voltage%20Converter%20Spec%20Sheet.pdf I think it costs something like $70. Cheaper to get a POE splitter then a dc power connector y splitter so you can power the camera using DC connector and separate...

    Hikvision NVR Lost All Cameras

Go the Hikvision website and download SADP under support, downloads, then tools. Connect your laptop with an ethernet cable to a port on the NVR. Run SADP. It should show all the cameras. If that doesn’t work, connect one of the cameras to the laptop and it should be seen by SADP. Make sure the...

Using the NVR's storage for Hikvision cameras that is beyond the channel limit of NVR

Is this outdoor rated cable ok to run in walls as well?

CM rated so it okay for in wall use. CL/CM/CMG: These cable jackets are suitable for use in all ordinary situations, with CL cables used for audio/visual applications and CM/CMG used for communications applications like Ethernet. They’ve passed what’s called a “vertical tray flame test,”...

    Hikvision bitrate settings - 4k/8mp h.265 - I'm confused

This is all very confusing. The chart above and the calculator I spoke of earlier use the same calculations. You said you have (3) 4K cameras and are storing 3 months on a 4TB drive. Working backwards the 4TB drive is 32Tb. 90 days will give you 355Mb per day. That is about 15Mb per hour or...

    PoE injector + PLA

Not sure what you are asking. You can use a powerline adapter to get a ethernet connection to the camera location and use a POE injector to power the camera. If you are asking if you can pass POE through a PLA, then the answer is no.

Any recommendation on NVR for like 50-60 cameras?

You can read the discussion on this forum concerning the merits of Blue Iris vs a NVR as well as which camera manufacturer to use, mostly Dahua and Hikvision. I personally use Hikvision cameras with a Hikvision 9632 NVR and have had no problems. So my vote is Hik cameras with a DS-9664NI-I8 NVR

Using PVC to build a budget pole for a PTZ

PVC becomes brittle with UV exposure. So unless you paint it or wrap it the pole will eventually crack under high wind conditions with a heavy load mounted on top. Use galvanized rigid metal 2 inch conduit. It’s about $60 for a 10 foot stick but it will be there long after you.

    Hikvision bitrate settings - 4k/8mp h.265 - I'm confused

Three months? You must not be continuously recording. The Hik calculator is fairly accurate, it is not precise to the byte. I am now confused as to what you are really asking. If you want high quality recording, set video quality to highest. If you want close to fluid motion, set frame rate to...

    Hikvision DS-2CD3345-I - NAS recording

Are you using Milestone Arcus? If so, did you activate the 5 cameras before Jun 2017? They had a offer for free license before that date. My understanding is you cannot get a new license due to Milestone and WD are not partnered anymore.
