Where can i get a hikvision cable?

This is an old technical bulletin from Hikvision. Check your wire colors and see if they match. You can also cut the camera cable and separate the wires and using an RJ45 cable do the same after plugging it in the camera cable. Then use an ohm meter to determine what camera lead colors match the...

Separate Live view and control on Hikvision NVR

I assume your TVs are in the same house? If so, connect HDMI 1 to the TV that you have a mouse for control. Connect HDMI 2 to the other TV. You can then configure each HDMI output to what cameras you want displayed as default.

Lightning may have damaged my cameras!

You should tie surge ground to your electric service entrance ground. Two separate unbonded ground points will cause potential difference during a lighting strike and damage your equipment.

Lightning may have damaged my cameras!

Connect a camera directly to your computer using a 12V supply. Then use SADP. If that works, then get a new POE injector and try the same thing. If that works your camera is good. Then try your questionable POE injector. Then try your switch. In other words, test each device separately to...

    Dielectric Grease Unmanaged Switch

I’m surprised the switch is surviving the heat. I’m from Louisiana it gets well above 125 degrees in the attics. I have a switch in a storage building and one in a storage room. Humidity has not been a problem. It won’t hurt to use the grease if you want to.

NVR lags on playback\maintenance (NVR not Responding)

You can access by connecting a monitor and mouse directly to the NVR. After logging in, look at the icons on the top of the screen. The contact does not have enough spring resistance to break the current. The contact out of the NVR may have the issue. Just need to figure out is the coil staying energized or is it deenergized and the relay contact is staying closed.

What is your NVR model number? The 64 channel version has a maximum input bandwith of 512Mbps. You should not use more than 90% of that. Try disconnecting 10 or so cameras and see how it functions then.

Look and see how much bandwith you are using. I assume you have a 64 channel NVR and you are using all but two channels.
