    Line-In for MIC on Hikvision

It is mono and unless you are running a long distance with AC wiring nearby you don’t need balanced. Not sure the camera connector has a “ ring” connection for balanced.

    DS-2CD2425FWD-IW Darkfighter cube camera

I have one. Used it when we got a new maid. Adequate for the job. The 2.8m lens does provide the greatest view in the world. Built in audio worked well. Would make a good nanny cam. Just order from any Hik distributor for $135 or so in the US. Not sure about outside the US.

    PIR With Hikvision Camera

Doesn’t make sense. Everything works separately but not together. You have a multimeter? If you do check PIR output contacts. Then check with everything hooked together. Just noticed your post saying the camera triggered when you put in the jumper. Whatever state you have the camera set at...

    PIR With Hikvision Camera

Jumper I to GND so as to test your setup. This bypasses the PIR so you know everything is working as it should. Obvious question, did you power up the PIR? Using a multi meter check to see if the PIR contact opens and closes as it should. When you connect the PIR to the camera it doesn’t matter...

Is it possible to use a Ubiquiti PoE Injector for the Hikvision Camera?

It seems no one has agreed on an answer. Ubiquiti are not active they are passive. Powering POE devices is not a problem. Active devices prevents accidents such as using the wrong voltage. So it’s okay to use a 48V Ubiquiti POE injector to power IP camera. The poor guy just wants an answer...

Can I flash firmware from Europe (other region) for my camera?

There is no problem updating. Sometimes the update may change something that you may not particularly care for and the update does nothing else that benefits you.

Can I flash firmware from Europe (other region) for my camera?

Nothing. What version are you at now and which version do you want to go to? Second question is what features do you want (reason for update). In general, unless there is a reason don’t update just for the fun of it.

Can I flash firmware from Europe (other region) for my camera?

Good to go then. Just don’t jump too many versions at once.

Can I flash firmware from Europe (other region) for my camera?

What is the camera region code in the serial number? If it’s WR no problem. If it’s CH you can’t.

Hikvision camera DS-2CD2385FWD-I is dead - what to do

By the way SADP is a Hikvision software that allows you to see cameras and change IP addresses. The camera cannot be connected behind the NVR. You can find it here Tools

Hikvision camera DS-2CD2385FWD-I is dead - what to do

How about first connecting camera to the NVR with a patch cable.

Hikvision camera DS-2CD2385FWD-I is dead - what to do

Swap this camera to a working port on the NVR. Does it work now? If not take down the camera and power it up with a DC supply. Then connect it directly to your computer or router. Can you see the camera using SADP. If so it means you have a bad cable, likely a connector.

    DS-2CD2232-I5 Won't allow configuration

Not much info to go on. Is it brand new? If so you must first make sure your computer is on the same subnet as the camera IP address. If you are you should be able to enter the IP address in you search bar which will direct you to change the password. After that SADP will allow you to change...

    Remote Camera

You have many choices none real cheap due to the distance. You can set up solar panels and batteries and use Ubiquiti radios such as M5. No trenching, but expensive and depending where you live the battery may die at times. You can run 1000’ of UG romex and use Ubiquiti M5 radios. Simplest...

You can mount to a wall or a ceiling. See Wiki concerning domes. Turret style would be better. Are you mounting interior or exterior?

What do you mean by in-wall? US and Canada both speak English, but it would help to speak American vs Canadian, ehh. Do you mean on the wall? My son lives in BC so no offense meant.

    Record time doubt

How do you know you can only record 17 days? It’s been only 5 days since you said you will change settings. 4MP cameras recording high quality at 15fps should have a max bitrate of 4096kbs using H265. So doing the math and converting bits to bytes you should only use 310GB per day. I am assuming...
