    For me 3MP @ 12fps is more than adequate for what I need it for so I haven't bothered to look into it further. I'd suggest you contact Hikvision support and check with them.

    Unsure about the NVR side of things as I don't use one but I have the same bug connecting to a Synology Surveillance Station. What resolution are you recording at? At 3MP I'm also only able to record at 12fps but if I reduce it to 1920 x 1080 (1080P) then I can get it to record at 25fps. hth

    Unfortunately still not that easy :( You see there's the issue of a big hill inbetween. From my place I can see the top of the hill but the other place sits quite a bit lower and I don't think I'll get the go ahead to suspend a super high mast. I appreciate the suggestions though.
