    I would personally use some metal plate or sheet metal, even flat iron bar, etc on top of the tile and fix into that so you can spread the weight over the tile rather than where the fixings are.

    Hence why sometimes it's better to start with a varifocal cam which can be moved around to different locations to work out the best lens required in each spot. That was my initial plan but my other half prefers the look of domes after the turrets so mostly domes we went.

    wincap is already v4.1.3 so might be that. Hi jordanb here's a constant lit red led on above the IR led ring and another green led further back that you can see the glow from. Both cams doing that.

    I went with a Dahua SD59230S with the black face. 30x optical zoom could still be overkill but we'll see. Also plan on mounting it up high so size doesn't bother me that much. It's landed locally but held up by customs so waiting to get hold of it for a play.
