Another suggestion on a POE switch is the TP Link TL-SG1008PE. It has 8 ports all of which are POE+ capable of up to 30w a port with a power budget of 120w total. I can also vouch for the great service from Monica. I ordered the non POE version of the bullet by mistake and she was ok to change it to a POE version and I paid the difference. I'm definitely considering getting another if I don't get skinned alive when this one gets here. -

What type of work vehicle are you using?
I work out of a VW caddy panelvan. I have 5 seats, a decent drawer setup, false floor to sit over the backseat when folded down for more carrying space and a cargo barrier which can be located behind the front seats or behind the back seats. -

You're talking about using the Surveillance Station package which runs as a service on the NAS. The OP is talking about utilizing the NAS as a storage medium to store the footage from the camera. -

Ip camera wattage rating
Are you able to log into the console of the switch? Does it list the power output of each port? What do you reckon the chances of using a clamp meter with a small jaw to try measure current draw if all else fails?- fmflex

Considering opening a shop to sell and install cameras
I haven't worked in IT for over 10 years so not sure if it's still possible but could you lock the PC down somewhat with group policies to only be able to install or update specific software?
