    Dan, I'm using that Neewer too...so I don't think it was a power issue, more of a comm issue. The resets come after it settles down few minutes after initialization, and seem instant when I attempt to PTZ. Dunno about TPLink..I'll look'em up and see. :) edit: Nope..they have EITHER Powerline...

    FWIW, my TP Link Powerline network and POE did NOT work on the Huisun...the cam simply powered up, shows the scene, and continues to reset, going through the rotation cycle over and over. Same arrangement worked splendid on the Hikvision, so I tried again with a simple wifi adapter on the same...

    Yep..that doesn't add up..a single 69 cam wouldn't have customs fees, so he should only really be out shipping. THAT is what concerns me...its far more expensive to ship back to China a return (like 3X) than to us from there. That is why I'd like to know how the return is handled by Huisun/Ali...

    Good deal...you can ask Monica directly if opening the cam further (than adding an sd card) to check connections will void your warranty...if it is indeed a loose/popped connector, they might want to know about it so they can remedy current cams before shipping. :)

    My only niggle is low light/night time focus is a bit too flakey. I know it relies on captured light emitted from objects and I can't expect perfection, but many times it fails to focus until I zoom in and out a time or two. edit: oh, and others have it a bit worse and I've only experienced it...

    Punny! Or not...they may iterate hardware faster than software and new generations will simply work better by design and tech improvements. That IS sort of against the trend by Google and others (I think to their detriment) to release beta quality hardware and condition the client to EXPECT...

    In what way? I have mine set up to FTP a jpeg to wunderground every 5 minutes, with no issues (that are related to Huisun, WU has its issues).
