New Amcrest AD410 doorbell Cam Review

Thanks. Just wanted to know if it was possible; this should be something that a user should have an option for in my opinion, rather than be forced to have that watermark. I have asked/suggested to Lorex that it should be a setting in the app to turn on/off that watermark.

New Amcrest AD410 doorbell Cam Review

Could you confirm if it's possible to get rid of the Amcrest (I presume, I have the Lorex and it says Lorex) logo/watermark at the top left of the screen via the API commands?

New Amcrest AD410 doorbell Cam Review

I have the Lorex 2K which doesn't support the API calls, too bad so sad :( Substream is 720 x 576 I imagine all have the same substream, unless maybe Amcrest allows you to change it with the APIs...

    A New Doorbell

For the record, I'm using a 16V 10A transformer; the system had 2 hard doorbells for rear/front. I put the camera on the front (as in the instructions) and there are no issues with it working. I have the Lorex 2K though, not the Dahua - but other than esthetics and firmware it's the same HW.

    A New Doorbell

Yeah, I read your previous post and couldn't believe it. I'm tempted to order from the US amazon, but it's so expensive, the additional $35 for shipping, plus the hassle to return across the border... too bad. I have submitted a replacement request for my Lorex doorbell to Lorex. Glad I bought...

    A New Doorbell

Can someone tell me if Amcrest has a Canadian presence? I'd like to get the AD410. I have the Lorex 2K, but I'm having an issue with noise even when there is no noise outside, I hear a clicking/white noise; not sure if this is my unit or normal (I hope not). Those that have the AD410, have you...

That G4 Pro camera is interesting that it has the downward facing camera for packages, sets it aside f Is it poe, or is the poe adapter used to break out DC to power it via micro usb?

New Amcrest AD410 doorbell Cam Review

I can confirm; on the Lorex2K I made some changes with that tool, and the video got messed up even though I made no changes to the video specs/properties. A reset changed it back to normal!

New Amcrest AD410 doorbell Cam Review

Is the HA supposed to be better with the Amcrest version due to the SDK/API calls; I assume that's why. -On a side note - I am using BI as well to record the stream from the doorbell (Lorex version) and I have a constant clipping sound, when there is no other sound; almost like if there is no...

New Amcrest AD410 doorbell Cam Review

How are you trying to stream, you can use any app that will play back a rtsp stream, like TinyCam. Amcrest Smart Home app is available in google play store, in Canada. If ita not available on the fire stick that's am amazon issue. Sideload google play store and you can get all the android apps...

    Lorex 2K doorbell

Is/will port 80 open on the Dahua version, or is it just Amcrest that provides that port open for the SDK with those APIs? I would have opted for the Amcrest version as well if it was available via Amazon.ca. I do like the white case rather than black though!

    Lorex 2K doorbell

There is no official ONVIF support on this doorbell platform on any of these variants, Lorex 2K, Amcrest AD410, IMOU DB61i, Dahua DH-DB6I, which are all the same same camera.

    A New Doorbell

How did you get the Amcrest doorbell, did you order it/them from the US? I was going to order one off amazon.com but didn't want to deal with the cross border garbage in case something went wrong; looks like made a good decision. I got the Lorex 2K doorbell instead and I am quite happy - found...

    Lorex 2K doorbell

I got this doorbell a while back and had time over the christmas break to install it. For the record, my existing doorbell is this one, Honeywell RCW110KB1008/N which has a 16V/10A AC transformer (sorry can't comment on the question on DC transformer) Installation went very quick, however the...

Yes, missed that. So the sensor seems to be different, but based on that pdf linked at the beginning of the thread, this is the main difference. 4mp vs 5mp sensor, fov, resolution, the little led light, and other features seem to be on par hw wise, even same fps (15); surely sw wise it may have...

Is there any difference between this Dahua and the amcrest ad410 and lorex 2k? Looks exactly as the same spec and features. Is the only difference the sw? (DMSS vs the mobile apps). Does the dahua have its own web server for configuration directly?

On the lorex 2k the app allows one to turn off the status LED, which is the light around the button. Haven't tested to see if i block it from the internet, will it flash blue or stay off though. Still cant remove the lorex logo though.

WTB - 4MP Cube Cams with POE Support

Found this which is not POE but has ethernet (which the consumer ones don't) but no longer available... has 135deg FOV. Really, I'm looking for a camera to use as a baby monitor with a better FOV, the wireless ones are just not reliable enough...

WTB - 4MP Cube Cams with POE Support

Well that doesn't explain why, i know the difference between the two and their applications/expectations. Does the narrower fov give better accuracy, quality, etc...? Why doesn't a small poe prosumer camera with 130/140 fov exist?

WTB - 4MP Cube Cams with POE Support

Question. So i would love to have a small sized camera like wyze for example, but Poe. These cube cameras are closest I've found, but their fov is not that big, ie 130/140deg. Why is that? Is there a small poe camera cube type with larger fov? I picked up 3 x dcs-2210 on kijiji around...

    A New Doorbell

Thanks for the reply. Was not aware of that - so the 3 cameras, all based on dahua hardware use a different platform, and dahua "branded" doorbell will use DMSS. Will it be available to Canada at the same time as US? i.e The AD410 is not available to purchase IN Canada.

    A New Doorbell

Is the consensus not to get the AD410, or the Lorex 2k, or the IMOU 2K - they are all the same hardware it seems. When scanned for the Lorex in TinyCamPro it came up as a Dahua model DH-SD59225U-HNI [port 80] which is weird as port 80 doesn't work on this. Seems like a common model that comes up...

Lorex 2K QHD Wi-Fi Video Doorbell Outdoor Security Camera

I haven't had the time to place it outside to test, in the next few weeks. For inside testing there is almost 0 lag between motion and BI, but I am on BI5

New Amcrest AD410 doorbell Cam Review

No worries, I did a factory reset and seems fine now - I'll keep that in mind and won't adjust those setting, but the ability of adjusting the other encoding settings is nice to have. I ran these commands but nothing happened - a port scan only gives me port 554 and port 5000. It's possible...

New Amcrest AD410 doorbell Cam Review

So I tried SmartPSS which is pretty great I have to say, I have an Amcrest too and although that has the built in web server GUI, it's nice to be able to use this app. So on the doorbell (Lorex) 1)there is a setting under Encode, Video, Main Stream called "Watermark" - checked/unchecked it does...

New Amcrest AD410 doorbell Cam Review

@GaryOkie thanks for this, I will give it a go tonight when I have a bit more free time. I did email Lorex to ask about this, never heard back anything.. yet. I did see it posted in here, but I also downloaded the API PDF file, so will also look through there!
