Minor Bug: Encode->Overlay->Channel Title is NOT enabled, but text shows up on snapshots (not on video as it should)
I've got a IPC-T54IR-ZE-S3 running the very latest software ... although I believe it may have been in the previous version as I looked at snapshots from before the recent upgrade. Encode->Overlay->Channel Title is NOT enabled ... but the default value of "IPC" was still there for Input Text... -

I went ahead and applied the firmware from @EMPIRETECANDY's site. Remember there are two .bin files to apply (in order - they are labeled as such) as all went uneventful and camera seems to be working fine. FYI that after the first .bin file, the (new) Maintenance Center has a Red "1" (number)... -

Ditto what @samplenhold said that you can try putting the cam close to the glass and "cover the surrounding area" with black fabric to block interior light/reflections - I'm sure a lot easier with a bullet versus a dome. As it sounds like you know/done, this is a common photography trick when... -

I just realized that the "test" Firmware I installed on June 7th changed the "Encoding Strategy" from "Smart Codec" to "AI Coding" ... and there is NOT an option to have "Smart Codec" I compared to another camera that did NOT have that installed and the "Compression/etc." is the same ... but... -

Roger on the reduced DOF @CCTVCam ... and I certainly do NOT expect a sharp image from a foot away to infinity when zoomed in with large sensor/aperture since that ... violates the laws of optics! ;-) But if you are on the wide-end of the focal length, do you think reasonable focus/sharpness... -

Note specs says F/1.0 lens ... easier to do if fixed focal length. It's a logical response to Hikvision. I'm holding out for the varifocal F/1.0 lens with 1/1.2" (latest technology) sensor - aka the "light sucking monster" ;-) -

How to remove web pop out ?
I get the same popup using Edge ... but I can do almost everything without it ... so kinda annoying. It would be nice if a future camera software release provided an option to NOT cause this to happen. -

Thanks @EMPIRETECANDY for the updates. Any chance we might soon see a 5442 replacement (4X Zoomer) using latest technology 1/1.2" sensor with just 2MP and F/1.0 lens? That would be a light-sucking monster!- alekk

IP Cam <-> Web server direct connection and integration
WRT #4, instead of a "push" from the camera to the web server/cloud, you might consider a "pull"- ffmpeg is your Swiss Army knife here. It sounds like you are well aware of security issues ... so yea, make sure you have 'em locked down well. BTW, I have a some IPC-T54IR-ZE-S3's running version... -

The "Zoom Level" on the Z4's go from 0-2275 (wide-tele)... and one of mine is at 400 ... which I suspect is wayyyy wider than... -
