OpenALPR Webhook Processor for IP Cameras

Sorry, been tied up with work, yes, I did have duplicate plates but that was due to me running the system on original machine at the same time, once disabled on original machine, duplicates stop. Sorry, that wasn't helpful for you. With the latest release, in theory you may need to check...

Latest release performance with Windows 11 Pro

Thanks, sounds promising and I know your opinion is money in the bank :thumb: - I have pretty much quit using Deepstack now and essentially just let the cameras motion do the work, just my use case but found deepstack was missing trivial items (wildlife!) which would normally get detected. I...

Latest release performance with Windows 11 Pro

I am on an old release 5 from end of 2022, mainly resisted upgrading due to problems with Deepstack, that is largely not in use anymore. About to switch BI install to Windows 11 Pro machine, wondered if there are any significant drops in CPU usage with later releases, yes I am fully optimised...

OpenALPR Webhook Processor for IP Cameras

It makes sense, really I should retain mine, was getting very slow to access though, like minutes to search back, maybe the new Windows 11 build will be quicker.

OpenALPR Webhook Processor for IP Cameras

Sounds like a good plan, mine is ticking over fine today on Windows 11 machine, not decided whether to retain existing database or start fresh.

@biggen @IReallyLikePizza2 Can't help with this one, hopefully someone else will chime in, annoying.

I feel like 1080p should be minimum really, my 720 images are OK but not much good if you wanted to pull up detail months later. Honestly the historical database is so good if something really happens and you need to go back, I'm running 15fps at the moment on Substream 2 @1080p, my actual ALPR...

OpenALPR Webhook Processor for IP Cameras

Curious to know what quality most people are running into Rekor feed, I had been using 720p to keep size down and low bit rate, thinking maybe just bite the bullet and put it up to 1080 and 4096kb, the 720p quality isn't great when reviewing.

OpenALPR Webhook Processor for IP Cameras

@biggen @IReallyLikePizza2 Massive thank you, I could not see the wood for the trees, I have plates getting logged on latest release at last!! so many hours wasted, really should have read those notes for latest version :( - not sure how I missed the /api info! Oddly enough I still get spinning...

@biggen @IReallyLikePizza2 Added /api and webhook still tests OK, onwards.....

OpenALPR Webhook Processor for IP Cameras

For the people who are incompetent (me) can you clarify exactly where the api is entered (assuming api key from Rekor) - is this under 'Endpoint Url' and before usual IP address, my webhook test is currently passing OK. Apologise in advance, I have been staring at this stuff so much my head is a...

OpenALPR Webhook Processor for IP Cameras

Ah OK, that makes sense now, you do have a pretty larger DB, did you compact before previously?

OpenALPR Webhook Processor for IP Cameras

I must be blind apparently! thank you, already I see two reasons why I am most likely failing miserably!

OpenALPR Webhook Processor for IP Cameras

Someone else with quite a large DB had taken more than a day to complete that task from memory, about 3-4 pages back in this post.

@biggen @IReallyLikePizza2 Hold on!! how did I miss that, my head is a blur, could you link if possible

OpenALPR Webhook Processor for IP Cameras

OK, here is a question, my Docker time zone in Windows is correct, but, when I run ALPR Webhook and check the logs, time zone is UTC and 1 hour behind my UK time zone! Tried implementing -e TZ=Europe\London into docker run command but no change. Anyone has ideas on this please make me look...

OpenALPR Webhook Processor for IP Cameras

That sounds about right, .NET was I believe the cause of issues I was having, in part at least. I would rather be running latest release but for now I am going to let 4.2.4 do the work, was so close with new version but just could not get it to play ball. Hope someone smarter than me will maybe...

OpenALPR Webhook Processor for IP Cameras

Mine is only 25GB but volume of traffic at location is quite low, been running for I think about 3-4 years. Initially mine was snappy to access plates, as time went on it began to slow, now it takes almost minutes to do anything, hence my lack of desire to retain during transfer to new machine...

OpenALPR Webhook Processor for IP Cameras

@biggen @IReallyLikePizza2 That is a good question, how big is your current database file, I contemplated bringing my existing one across but am not that worried truthfully. Normally for my day job I would compact first before upgrading or importing, see what others say.

That's latest release surely  If it ain't broke, don't fix it, not a bad rule to live by!

OpenALPR Webhook Processor for IP Cameras

I have about been ready to put a hammer through mine today, spent hours trying to figure it out yesterday, driving me crazy!! Good to see you are approaching it with a sense of humour! Side note, if I enter my endpoint URL into browser direct, it shows me captured images fine!

OpenALPR Webhook Processor for IP Cameras

@biggen @IReallyLikePizza2 Don't break it on my behalf! but if you do try then feedback would be good, I have installed fresh on a new machine. Thank you in advance :)

OpenALPR Webhook Processor for IP Cameras

I know some members on here @biggen @IReallyLikePizza2 and others have been great assisting troubleshooting this system. Wondering if anyone moved install with latest release to new computer, struggling at the moment, cannot see any issues in setup but something is causing the problems in post...

OpenALPR Webhook Processor for IP Cameras

@mlapaglia Just setting up and transferring to new computer, is the upload_address still required to be modified from standard setting in release 5.3.0, getting 'Disconnected' message at the moment. My upload_address is just default https://cloud.openalpr.com/push/ at the moment. Checking logs...

PTZ choices, best for low light

Interesting, Andy offered a 4MP version of that but technically the 2MP version is basically a 49225 with auto tracking. I do like the idea of 'Cops' theme accompanied by reds and blues for some passing residents :thumb:

PTZ choices, best for low light

I really would like that better low light, concerns me that in 2-3 year time that composite (assuming it isn't glass!) lens cover might deteriorate. It was a bit cheeky of them to remove auto tracking from the 49225, especially for existing owners if they got caught by firmware upgrade removal...

PTZ choices, best for low light

OK, I had decided to bite the bullet and get a PTZ5A4M-25X but two things are giving me cause for concern, firstly the curved composite (Perspex?) lens cover and secondly the build quality, in comparison to the 49225 series. The price difference cannot be ignored either but the lack of flat lens...

Does a 4-5MP version of the HFW5241E-Z12E exist with large sensor?

Indeed the Z12E produces some good images and has the benefit of additional zoom, sometimes there will be no substitute for this. The attraction to the 1/1.8" sensor at 4MP is night time performance, with the bonus of some potential detail during daylight. The 2MP sensor cameras I own including...

Does a 4-5MP version of the HFW5241E-Z12E exist with large sensor?

Interesting looking through some footage comparing one of my HFW5442EP-ZE cameras to the 49225 PTZ today, I essentially found that images from the 5442 reading a license plate at around 40-50 feet matched the 49225, even with the PTZ being zoomed considerably more. The 5442 in question is set on...

PTZ choices, best for low light

Don't worry, I will not be doing that, my goal is always best image quality, especially in low light. Once you experience 2MP on a 2.8" or 4MP on a 1.8" there is no going back.
