PC clock and BI clock not in sync

Certainly odd. I know a number of version back now (maybe late version 4.0.XX) there were individuals who experienced some cameras being out of sync with other cameras while using the BI overlay. But that problem seemed to have been resolved some time ago. Yours is the first I have seen that the...

PC clock and BI clock not in sync

Just so it is more clear, you are saying that the Windows OS clock in the bottom right of the task bar is running a full 1 minute 15 seconds slower than the time being displayed in your live view within BI that you setup in BI as overlays? Or are the times in your camera views being displayed...

What is the receive buffer set to on the 4565 (Camera Settings > Video > Configure > Network Options). If it isn't, set that to 20MB and see if your problem clears up. And you mention that it is set to a constant bitrate, but don't mention what the bitrate is exactly. Also, are you encoding your...

You aren't seeing the blurry image coming as a result of the fps or the i-frame I don't think. More than likely it is due to shutter time or WDR being on too high or noise reduction... but I could be wrong.

To me this looks like you might not be sending enough i-frames with the feed. What is your camera settings for i-frame and fps?

When the remote device it connected to your VPN the remote device appears as if it is inside your local network and gets an IP address from your internal network...

5 MegaGixel 1/1.8" low light destroyer for $90-AVOID LONGSE JUNK

I tried real quick to add to my BI and it didn't have signal, but did pick up the camera using the inspect feature. Not sure, but try like Klasipca said and change port. Also check that you are not running it with h265 since BI doesn't take that compression feed.

    Another BREAK time question

When talking about efficiency in file formats for BI it is the CPU that is being referenced. Since BVR is a file format made for BI it is the most CPU efficient of the file formats to record too. You do lose the overlays but when exporting the clips it is possible to integrate them back in (if I...

    Recording on alerts issue

Might be a workaround for the time being, but it should also be reported to the developer so he can put a fix in for it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Loving the new motion detection!

If you update to the latest version of BI there is now multiple motion detection regions that are available to be used for things like line crossing. Still getting some of the kinks worked out, but it is there.

I tried for the life of me to get the Softether server to work with my setup, but failed every time. I am not a tech buffoon either. I have worked tech for the last 12 years or so and consider myself tech savvy and STILL couldn't get it to work. Now I might have been facing a technical...

    Mounting Questions

The decision to mount direct to house or not is going to be up to you. In the end it comes down to whether or not you can accept having a large hole in your siding if you choose to go without a junction box to accommodate the pig tail.

    Recording on alerts issue

I have seen another member reporting this same behavior just a couple days ago (can't find exact thread though). This may be related to your first camera being recorded continuously though. If you tell the continuous record camera to not record for a bit and test camera #2 alerts, does it start...

Looking for Optimal BI4 Clips and archive settings

There really isn't a need to write to something as fast as a SSD in this case, so why write to one location to in the end moving it to another. I would say just skip step #1 and put the files where they will live on the first go. Also, there isn't enough supporting documentation for long term...

If you in fact have any ports open in your router currently, then you have a problem. You say you want to access your BI machine using Teamviewer which doesn't require any ports in your firewall to be open. Teamviewer uses ports 80 and 443 to communicate with your machine inside your network...

Choppy vs Smooth Video -- bvr vs MP4

No, I was simply stating that I knew the thread I linked too isn't the exact same problem as you are having but seem similar enough to share the link. I do see the difference in the two you have posted and agree with you it shouldn't be like that.

    Major problem w/sensing large objects

Try setting your server to record 24/7 during the night when you want to test things. Then you can run the motion detection algorithm against the clip during playback to see if BI is picking up on motion. You can also just turn on the motion highlighting and box to see if BI thinks anything of...

That should get you up and running. I would let it run for a couple days then check back to see if you want to make any changes. Looking for Optimal BI4 Clips and archive settings

In your case, I would not record to the SSD. And since you have a 4TB drive for recordings I would allocate what you want from the drive to be used for "New" clips and recordings and forget about using the "Storage" option. Also, no sense if telling BI when to delete files based on time when you...

Choppy video with the IE active X

@mcx - was that video in WMP downloaded to the machine before being played? I assume so since I don't know of a way to stream to WMP. If it was in fact downloaded prior to being played that may be why it is smooth. No buffering. What about the other two, are they both being played from a...
