    PTZ Mounting Question

Also putting this here for Google to index so people will know. Knockout seal size for the PFA120 center hole is 1.5in. The 2in version is too large.

Dahua SD49225XA-HNR Auto Tracking Enabled Firmware.

That image is close to double the size of the 200312 image. I wonder if it'll actually work.

    PTZ Mounting Question

Or, maybe you were talking about the PFB306W to PFA120? If so then the PFA120 comes with 4x M8x25 screws for that mounting.

    PTZ Mounting Question

The PFB306W came with 4 sleeve anchors. I believe they are 3/8"x2". However I bought some 1/2"x2.25" sleeve anchors from home depot. They look much beefier. I'll update if / when I successfully mount it.

    PTZ Mounting Question

Can you mount the PFA120 junction box directly to brick? Or do you need to mount it to a corner mount / pole mount? I'm thinking PFB306W -> PFA120 -> Brick wall.

2022 New Product Plan and Chinese New Year Plan

If I could have gotten that Hikvision at that "over the pond from my point of view" price, it would have been a no brainer.

2022 New Product Plan and Chinese New Year Plan

I did look for that model. Strangely enough I haven't found a vendor that sells that exact model. Anyways, Sept isn't too far away and I heard Dahua is priced better compared to Hikvision.

2022 New Product Plan and Chinese New Year Plan

I do not. But I have a sd8a440-hnf-pa. So probably a few hundred above that.

2022 New Product Plan and Chinese New Year Plan

Looking at the specs, it looks like a new 1/1.8” sensor. Maybe IMX678?

Looks like SD8C440FD-HNF is on Dahua’s website now.

I'm wondering if they'll be using the IMX585 and that is why it's going to be a Sept release.

    2022 EmpireTech Spring Sales

I'm struggling with that too! I'll likely get 2x 5842 for the built in mic but will consider 5442 for others.

    DO NOT UPDATE DS-2DE4A425IW-DE

The closest version I could find that is related was DS-2DE4A225IW-DE(S6). In the release notes it does say "Remove auto-tracking functions on DE4A"

2022 New Product Plan and Chinese New Year Plan

Based on what I'm reading, that would be out of spec. 802.3bt will allow up to 100w at the Power Sourcing Equipment (PSE), but the standard only says 71w at the Powered Device (PD) end.

2022 New Product Plan and Chinese New Year Plan

From my conversation with Andy, it seems like SD8C845QA-HNF and SD8C440FD-HNF will be released in the Aug / Sept time frame now. I'm concerned that SD8C440FD-HNF may not be POE capable because it is "dual-sensor". Here might be an equivalent Hikvision model (1/1.8", dual-sensor) that is...

Lets talk next level PTZ's with Laser IR

For SD6AL433XA-HNR, was there ever a test to show that smart IR could dynamically change the focus of the IR laser? Or is it only manually settable?

IPC-T5442T-ZE IPC-T5442TM-AS IPC-T5842T-ZE SMD 3.0 Smart IR Latest New Firmware From EmpireTech

There was a Nov 2021 release without Smart IR. That's been reported with good IVS performance. I'm thinking this most recent beta is built on that release.
