    Hikvision ColorVu + 4K (DS-2CD2087G2-L)

I could and I think try swapping the angle of the 2 cameras so they are basically crossing each others focus, that way I am creating more distance between the subjects and looking more along the path, mmm I wonder.

    Hikvision ColorVu + 4K (DS-2CD2087G2-L)

I was just going to comment on that :). I think Wittaj will say 'yes, needs another Dahua 5442 Verifocal, and that brings me to think, shall I send 2 of them back and get another 2 x Varifocal's, they are so good for the money. Stick a built in microphone in them and a couple of white LED's...

    Hikvision ColorVu + 4K (DS-2CD2087G2-L)

Hi Wittaj, Yes you are correct on many points. The issue I had is a bought a new NVR to get more ports and then this camera came out what was not a Dahua :). So yes, maybe hindsight it would have been better to get a computer and install blue iris :), but it is ok for now. The varifocal does...

    Hikvision ColorVu + 4K (DS-2CD2087G2-L)

Thanks, I have reset back to default settings and added back motion, event white light plus turned of the Supplement bit, at this point lights staying off, even with motion :). I will have a play some more. Also took a picture of front of house, as it has turned into a test rig, we have on the...

Cannot get IP camera to work

Perfect, let me know how you get on with Hikvision, I am not happy about hearing of this password reset stuff and days to get your password reset etc. Sounds appalling.

    Hikvision ColorVu + 4K (DS-2CD2087G2-L)

Hi Anyone with this camera. Could you advise if their was a screen protector over the actual lens when new as my picture does not seem sharp, I removed s protector from around the lens i.e where led's are etc but not the lens. I cannot see a protector but am trying to figure out why the whole...

    Hikvision ColorVu + 4K (DS-2CD2087G2-L)

Thank you for your comments, yes, I am hoping 4mm is a good choice, still not 100% happy as I would not be able to ID a stranger walking past, but I think this is mainly very little light which I can do little about and hence I will just have to be less fussy.

    Hikvision ColorVu + 4K (DS-2CD2087G2-L)

Hi, I have got a varifocal in that area but that's for the cars, the picture is alot better at 4.mm than it was on the 2.8 it replaced but I have not had time to play with settings yet. The camera is doing good colour at 1/100 where the other could not do it above 1/30. So I have to give it...

Cannot get IP camera to work

Thanks, that's why I was surprised. I am assuming you have a Poe switch then to plug the camera into and hence how you are powering up and seeing the camera using SADP ?. If so, have you tried going to the web interface of the IP camera, setting the network to DHCP, make sure the gateway is...

Cannot get IP camera to work

Are you seeing the camera IP while it's still plugged into the NVR, if so, please advise what it is and what the IP of the NVR is, please note that theirs no security issue supplying such as they are internal IP addresses. It will help the forum members advise easier. Personally I am new to...

Cannot get IP camera to work

You can use the SADP tool to search for the camera and that will tell you it's ip address, if you don't know it already.

Cannot get IP camera to work

OK, sorry if you have already said this in previous messages but let's start from a few basics. What is the NVR's IP Address and is the IP Camera on the same subnet as that NVR ?. Have you tried adding the camera manually, simply tell the NVR what the IP is of the camera and the username and...

Cannot get IP camera to work

When you say the box won't recognise it, what do you mean please i.e it does not show up when you do a camera search from the NVR interface or something ?. I assume it's a Hikvision box, only ask as I run Hikvision cameras from a Dahua box and to do that, you need to switch onvif on in the...

    Hikvision ColorVu + 4K (DS-2CD2087G2-L)

Just as a comment, I don't like the web interface in this camera as much as the Dahua interface, seems alot more settings available on the Dahua's. But the colour feasibility at night is so very good. Anough to outway my biased for the Dahua web interface :).

    Hikvision ColorVu + 4K (DS-2CD2087G2-L)

My white light was staying on all the time but just done reboot from web settings and now everything good, coming on only with motion and turning off after 5 seconds. Not the whitest of light, it's a warm white rather than daylight light led but it works. :)

    Hikvision ColorVu + 4K (DS-2CD2087G2-L)

S Still trying to work that out myself, I know you need the latest firmware available in this thread. I believe you have to go to Event and turn Enable Motion Detection on and also select white light in the arming schedule. But my light seems to be on all time or perhaps allot of motion :)...

    Hikvision ColorVu + 4K (DS-2CD2087G2-L)

Yes, think 4mm would be nice their. I got it as a middle ground as still want good shots of things close but did not want to restrict the width of view as much as a 6mm would.

    Hikvision ColorVu + 4K (DS-2CD2087G2-L)

Still having slight issues, I have downloaded latest firmware and switched on motion from camera and linkage method white light but I get no led lights turning on at all on motion. I got a bit of goasting on standard settings at night and have upped exposure time to 1/100 now to see if helps...

    Hikvision ColorVu + 4K (DS-2CD2087G2-L)

5.5 metres, maybe considered slightly more because of angle of camera / height of camera etc. Really happy, see so much better faces when walking on path other side of fence.

Got my 4 * 4mm versions today, managed to get one up in my dinner hr. Please see snapshots of Lorex 4K @ 2.8 Vs Hikvision 4k @ 4mm. First Hikvision camera and did not like the fact I had to switch onvif on from a setting that does not even say onvif but figured it eventually and now working...

Cannot get IP camera to work

Hello Ironside69, sorry to read you are having issues. You are in he correct place though, this forum is excellent for CCTV help. Hikvision ColorVu + 4K (DS-2CD2087G2-L)

Just order 4 of these in 4mm version, will be with me tomorrow. These will replace my last remaining Lorex Cameras. Was planning on ordering 1 and testing first but these are hard to get hold of, so I reviewed the comments on this forum and took a punt on getting them all in one go.

Yes, so hard to tell, not the type of item you can buy, fit it, find out no good and return for another version. Personally I think a 4mm one their would be good but as I say, cannot be 100%
