    I can only think that something I have on or off makes this option not available or 4mm does not have this option, but I doubt they remove just for 4mm etc. Just checked out the one without firmware update and no option on that either.

    Sorry everyone, I think I might have figured this, I looked at the screen shot and it had stuff like playback on the top that mine did not. I believe I need to install the plugin and these missing items might appear, I am now madly trying to find a spare laptop to do this on, report back soon.

    Don't worry, I have repurposed one of the 2 opened cameras to the back already, the chickens are safe tonight and theirs 3 motion led flood lights in that area that will help it out if anything is detected :)

    Yes, not on mine, now I am well confused, just check out both my 4mm, one on older firmware, one on latest and neither has this. I think yours is 2.8mm ?, Surely this is not only on 2.8's, do you have a 4mm to check this ?. Thanks

    I have a usb to ethernet adapter so yes I can do ethernet and WiFi. If I get time I will find a trial of Blue Irris and investigate what all this Blue Irris stuff is all about :)

    Probably more like within the week, the issue is purely a decent pc with 2 x Network Cards, I have a few decent laptops around, none with 2 Network Cards and laptops are a pain to upgrade. I have a PC also but I would have to add another Neteork Cards and it's getting old now. So we will see.

    I wish it is that simple, the Hiks are from.a trade supplier, no returns unless faulty if opened. I have already opened 2 of the 4. The NVR is from Andy and I doubt faulty. I need to become more like pozzello and just crack open the cameras and put a different lens in them of tweak the focus...

    In the last 1/2 hr I have found a most annoying issue, my new Dahua player is not recording motion, even when set, I just see 24/7 recording, no yellow bits etc to show when motion was, that's with the Dahua and Hikvision cameras, only cameras purely set to motion only are showing the motion...

    Totally agree but no gain control, this is on a high shutter speed 1/120, I have tried reducing to 1/50 to see if it stops it increasing gain to much and hence causing further issues.
