Latest stable Intel graphics driver for hardware acceleration with Skylake?

I've that same Intel Driver on my HP G3 i7-7700 (26.20.100.7156), but if I enable Hardware Acceleration (QuickSync?) I keep randomly dropping cameras. No such issue if I disable HAcc in BI, all of my 5 cameras are displayed normally.

    Intel Driver Availability

I wonder if we can make some progress here, (ahem), to identify an Intel driver which delivers QuickSync for those of us who have a 7th Generation (Kaby Lake) CPU, which moreover is currently available for download from Intel. My impression reading reports on IPCT is that those with a 8th...

    Intel Driver Availability

No it's not you. I extracted the file from the exe to get to the .inf file following your suggestion. I've an HP Desktop running BI which has things rather locked down. HP want you to use their approved driver.

    Intel Driver Availability

I did get the download from Mega, and later also found too that I could extract the component parts (I've learnt something new here). I got the message about the igdlh64.inf driver not being digitally signed, whereupon my enthusiasm started to flag, reading about all the dire warnings. On...

    Intel Driver Availability

Thanks, I spy the elusive 15.45.18.4664 Intel Graphics Driver that the BI Wiki names as delivering QuickSync.:) However, it's in .exe form, not a ZIP file from where the Driver in inf form can be extracted. What searches I've found to overcome HP locking me out of changing my graphics driver...

    Indoor vs Outdoor Motion Sensors

I agree, I would use a proper outdoor sensor. I've got three PIRs to trigger the outside lights, two under a canopy and one near the front door, each makes an individual sound inside the house. I've found too that cheap PIRs can be unreliable in windy weather, producing false triggers. My most...

What do you think? Are you ready for this?

No dramas here with the update, I've updated both my BI PC and another W10 64bit PC to 1909 without any issues. I'm thinking that MS have learnt from their past errors. However, sadly the updates didn't deliver a working Intel driver enough for my HP Desktop to unable Quick Sync Video...

Hikvision NVR here with an IP of 192.168.2.xx

Where did my NVR's extra IP address come from? Currently I run successfully both a Blue Iris PC and Hikvision DS-7608NI-K/8P NVR. The NVR I configured with a standard static IP (192.168.1.xx) to allow a LAN connection to my router, and for the cameras a second IP subnet (192.168.xxx.xx)...

Any suggestions for a cheap basic home CCTV system?

Thanks. I'll be hoping she has other priorities with the passage of time.

    Intel Driver Availability

I've got sort of similar issues here. I've got BI installed on an HP EliteDesk 800 G3 SFF with i7-7700, current Intel driver is 26.20.100.7156, 5 cameras mostly 2 Mp at 15fps. Without hardware acceleration CPU is about 15- 20%, not too bad then in my view, I plan to install another three cameras...

Any suggestions for a cheap basic home CCTV system?

A female friend is enthused at seeing my home cctv install and now wants cctv at her house. She doesn't have much money and I wouldn't be involved in any install, my only input is to offer some detached advice. She knows someone who is technically knowledgeable, not yet with CCTV. He would do...

BI, Setting a camera's default gateway, DNS and camera NIC questions

My update today, I've got my BI PC setup and my 5 cameras configured on BI initially, I'll add that Blue Iris seems brilliant. There was no need for the cameras' DNS to be set. There was no need for the cameras' default gateway to be set, or for that matter on my W10 PC camera NIC's Properies...

BI, Setting a camera's default gateway, DNS and camera NIC questions

Sooner or later I'll be getting my BI PC set up with its 2 NICs. No camera needs DNS configured, correct? No camera needs a default gateway set, correct? With my Hikvision cameras it looks like I can leave the default gateway blank. With my Dahua camera, blank 0.0.0.0 isn't acceptable. It will...

My Firmware update DS-7608NI-K2/P and Dahua camera with Hikvision NVR issues

More info about using Linux Ubuntu here to view Hikvision NVR camera live views and individual virtual host streams to set camera configs. Rather any issue here from a Hikvision NVR firmware update, it now looks like a recent update to Paper Moon (under Wine) messed things up and the need to...

    Dahua AI Series Thread

Not wanting to cause a distraction here, but where might folk envisage this advanced camera being installed in a typical home installation? Currently would its benifits over other Dahua models justify the cost premium? Locally having CCTV is a modest deterrent as the crims here come hooded up...

My Firmware update DS-7608NI-K2/P and Dahua camera with Hikvision NVR issues

From Hikvision's EU portal, I've just downloaded then updated the firmware on my Hikvision DS-7608NI-K2/P NVR from V.3.4.103 build 181226, to V.3.4.106 build 190702 and all seemed to go well. As usual I haven't noticed any difference. RE Virtual Host, I would like to highlight what mike here...

Live view failed when accessing IP cameras from Chrome Linux, NVR live view works.

Not sure if this will help, I mostly use Ubuntu Desktop Gnome version Linux and currently use Basilisk or Pale Moon via Wine to interact with my Hikvision NVR. I've got Live View and able to configure individually each of my 4 Hikvision cameras, you will need to install the plugin when asked to...

IPCT recommended firmware updates - ok, it's at your own risk

A manufacturer's updates are not always about security. Updates are not just for cameras, unless you have BI, which itself has its own updates.

IPCT recommended firmware updates - ok, it's at your own risk

I am aware that the general advice on here is against undertaking firmware updating, if it ain’t broke why fix it. Yes I read reports of the risks of updating firmware particularly with those using grey market sourced hardware. Nevertheless I see new firmware is available, do I or don't I...
