Hikvision camera admin password reset tool

Thanks alastairstevenson. Updated to SADP 3.0.0.2. SADP shows as Active under sSecurity. I have a note of the new password so I must have set it or tried to set it. It has been several months since I messed with this camera. My older DS-7608NI-SE/8P Hikvison NVR refused to see it. I patiently...

Hikvision camera admin password reset tool

When I click on my older 3MP DS-2CD2032-I camera, I do see a box "Security Code". But when I click on the 4MP camera, that box is not there, instead there is a New Password, Confirm Password boxes. But entering the generated code, I still get 'Failed to Modify settings".

I do not see a box called Serial Code or Security Code in SADP. I see a box below "Enable DHCP" which appears to be the password box. Ther is a "Reset Password" area below, but I still get "Failed to modify settings". ID:001". I am accessing the camera over my network, it is not behind a...

Do you want to allow this app to make changes to your PC/ (Blue Iris)

A quick Google search says: "Apps that don't have a valid certificate root authority will present this menu. It is not advised to disable this warning." Blue Iris does not have a valid certificate? How can I make this go away without completely disabling the warning? Windows 10 Thanks in advance.

Please help an idiot on getting win 10 PC to see SSD

My Optiplex 9020 is up and running! I will try the USB drive with W10 ISO on my other PCs at a later date, for now, I am thrilled my Blue Iris PC is up and running. Now to attach the POE switch, plug in the cameras and see what happens. Thanks Fenderman!

Please help an idiot on getting win 10 PC to see SSD

I'm trying to figure out if I need to create separate flash drives with different ISOs. The new Optiplex 9020 came with Windows 7 professional 64 bit. I have a desktop with Windows 7 Home 64 bit and a laptop with Windows 7 32 bit (has been upgraded to 10 but not happy with performance). Do I...

Again, acting before seeing your advice. :) Dell sent the disc and i installed it without issue. He also sent the driver disc which was also helpful. It's a Windows 7 disk as that is what came installed on this PC. No big deal. Will let it update to 10 then perhaps download ISO and do a clean...

Thanks fenderman, new day, calmer at the moment. ha ha. I tried several times to install from disc, then I saw your post. No wonder it won't work. I'll call Dell. Thanks for being patient with me. By the way also before I read this, I reformatted the SSD as the install disc keep complaining...

Please help an idiot on getting win 10 PC to see SSD

Excuse me while I vent. System is now dead. No operating system found. Tried installing from Dell disc but no love. No operating system found. I think the better solution would have been to buy a new Hikvision NVR and not go down the complicated PC with Blue Iris path. Not happy. Too much...

So after trying macrium, I get "failed' run chkdsk y/ :r which appers to have done nothing. Rebooting gets me this "Missing operating system'. Went to bios, set boot order to read from CD first but still get "Missing operating system". This is very frustrating! Anyone in San Jose, Ca that can...

No clue why this is so f'ing complicated. Acronis does nothing, neither does Reflect. I can change a 60W bulb for a 100W bulb, can someone please invent software that aloows me to change a hard drive without needing a degree in computer science. UGH!

Please help an idiot on getting win 10 PC to see SSD

Solved, the drive letter for the SSD did not get assigned. Even though I initialized the SSD in Disk Management, the drive letter did not stick. Now it shows up in System, Storage. Thanks to all that helped me. I really appreciate it. Now I just need to get the OS onto the SSD. OH NO! :)

Please help an idiot on getting win 10 PC to see SSD

Update, stupid me, forgot what I tried last night. The reason it only sees one hard drive is because I unplugged the second hard drive's sata connector and plugged the SSD's SATA cable into that location. I plugged the 2nd 1G hard drive into the SATA port that the SSD didn't like. It now shows...

I unplugged my c drive and plugged in my SSD. I downloaded the media creation tool to a USB, but the PC upon reboot says "Missing operating system". I clearly need a step by step instruction as I'm not as computer savvy as BP2008 or fenderman.

Sorry about being in idiot, but if I replace the C drive with the SSD, then my PC will be dead. No? This is a new PC so no fear of loosing anything. All SATA ports are the same color. I see labels on the mother board, SATA0 and SATA1. How do I download Windows 10 to a USB? If I can do this...

I bought a Dell Optiplex 9020. I bought a Crucial MX200 SSD 250GB. The Dell came with 2 1 GB hard drives and a DVD drive. There was one unused power connector left. I connected my Crucial 250GB drive to the power connector and connected the SATA cable to the last available SATA port on the...

Re: New Dell Optiplex 9020 i7, 2 1G drives, Change to larger drive or split recording Does the SSD install in another location? I don't yet have the PC and I am thinking the mini tower only has slots for two hard drives. I can use the 2TB from the NVR and/or buy larger drives. A shame I have no...

New Dell Optiplex 9020 i7, 2 1G drives, Change to larger drive or split recordings?

I finally managed to buy a 9020 Optiplex i7 4790 with 8GB RAM and integrated Intel graphics. It comes with 2 hard drives, both 1GB. My dying Hikvison NVR has a 2GB drive which, with 5 3mp cameras has provided plenty of storage with all cameras set to motion detect. I'm thinking the C drive 1GB...
